Thread: First Ride 2010 - PIC - Chicago

Well, after bringing it back to life all winter, the weather finally came around and I took my CT70 out.

TODAY:


As I bought it around Thanksgiving:


Replaced the rear fender, replaced the handlebar clamp (handlebars held on by a chain when I bought it), added a headlight, speedo, taillight, rewired it, painted the rims, new seat, fixed rusted out header and painted exhaust, used a torch to straighten the handlebars, rebuilt the carb and did all the typical tuneup stuff... I guess I did more than I realized!

Felt great to finally get it out on the road.

Here's another pic of it now, vs as I bought it. I think I did the whole thing on a budget of < $400, including the initial bike purchase.
