You might get lucky and find someone who needs exactly what you have...I have a 4speed motor sitting here without a matching frame and a 3speed frame without a matching motor...I'm not looking for anything, just commenting on we have the opposite, so you never know what someone might need or want. That is a very desireable color, you will get it sold I'm sure. I'm curious also on the VIN numbers of your engine and frame.

Alright, I finally got a minute to write down the numbers.

Frame: CT 70H-100394 (The 394 appears to be etched rather than stamped, like the others.
    Engine: CT70E-236671 I think its from a 1974, K3.

I'm curious about the number on the frame. It seems like that is a pretty low number, as far as the serial numbers are concerned.

If that is accurate..The frame is a 1st day production. It should be stamped on the steering head tag and also on the frame...You said it is etched, do you mean on the tag?

Should I just take a picture of the tag and the serial number, close up?

And, in what month did they first start production in 1970?

Pictures are always helpful. 5/70 was the first month of HKO production. It's a shame you don't have the original 4 speed engine to go with it.

This is the best I could do with my camera. The tag matches the serial number. And, trust me when I say that i'm very disappointed at not having the original 4-speed. I wanted to throw a picture of both my girls in here somewhere. Any comments on the orange one's seat?

I like the KO better. It would be more appealing if sold in the future. Only thing I would do is replace or repair the seat.

REally, you like the KO better. I thought for sure you all would be more interested in the original H frame. Interesting. What I meant about the seat question from earlier was, is the Orange KO's seat original replica or did the previous owner just get creative?

That seat is off another bike. Not the original. Other than that, a couple other quick fixes, and the KO is look'n good. The HKO frame is nice but, with out the original engine it's of little value.

What bike might it have been off? It appears to have the original seat pan. The underneath of the seat pan has some surface rust. I think it was a re-upholstered job but what I cant figure out is from what they referenced to get the pattern, and the chrome trim. Does anyone have any clues as from what they idea came?
