    Is this a 72 HK or HK1?

    Is there any way to tell from this photo if this is the 1972 3-speed HK model or the 4-speed HK1?

    The stripes on the Honda sticker lean forward on an H and are straight up and down on the 3 speeds.

    The surest way is tell a 3 speed from a 4 speed is check the clutch cover. If their is a nut in the middle of the cover it is a 3 speed.
