Thread: Does the trail bike spirit live on today....?

I asked a little while back what a new mini trail would look like today. There were plenty of answers and the wish list kept growing. BUT, does the "spirit" of the mini trails live on today in any of the bikes already in production?

The reason I ask is that I love my Ct70-clone. It love the fact that its small, lite-weight, and just a blast to ride. I can throw it in the back of the truck and be gone in no time. As far as motorcycles go, these are the only ones I have ridden at length. Ive ridden a few dirtbikes and a couple of street bikes , but only for a few moments. I would like to have a bigger bike, or a bike thats faster with more torque. Im notlooking for a highway cruiser although being able to cruise the highway would be nice. I like being able not having to do a U-turn everytime the paymnet ends. I enjoy blasting diwn dirt roades and fire lanes, pluse being able to scoot to the store when needed.

So basicly my questions are these..
1) what bike built today closely resembles the ct70 with all capablities? ie.. onroad/offroad, fun, ease of repair.....
2) What bikes would you reccomed I look into getting?
3) What bikes do you ride, and how do they compare to your ct70?
