Thread: carburetor exchange-ability

I have a 73 ct70 engine that is in need of a carburetor. I have a 78 carb (round shaped bowl, not rectangular like the early ct70 carbs) and intake kicking around... is there any reason that I cannot use these two together? Other than the cosmetic difference between the carburetors, is there any fuel delivery difference or reason to expect problems making this switch? I am thinking it will be fine, but just wanted to run it by you all to make sure...thanks...
