    Weak spark

    I got my K3 goin on the konker engine. New CDI box, the old 6 volt regulator because i spent my last $30 on the cdi box. Anyway, I got it running finally! But, after about 15 minutes of riding, it died. and would not start again. I will be chasing problems through my small wiring harness, and ive check the sparkplug on several bikes, orange spark every time. I will replace the plug once I scrounge up $5, but what else on CDI systems would cause weak spark?

    make sure the pick up is as close a gap as possible without actually touching the raised trigger on the outside of the rotor. I had a bike with similar issue that i solved by slotting the mount screw holes for the pick up and moving it closer

    Sometimes the connection between the plug cap and the coil wire will get weak after a while. The inner part of the wire gets kind of a burnt back look and needs a small amount cut off and then reconnect.

    Thanks, I will check the pickup gap. Ive been riding without the flywheel cover when it ran, maybe my foot moved it somehow??

    It is a brand new coil, Im sure its not the plug cap, but will check anything
