    CL 70 vs CT 70

Anybody know if a 1972 CL70 headlight bucket and headlight ears (painted) are the same as a CT70 K1-K4?

I was talking about the KO with the plastic bucket . The CT70 K1 thru K4 took the metal headlight housing . Although they do look to be the same width .

I need the metal headlight bucket and a set of ears either painted or chrome. Have you got a headlight bucket you want to part with ?. What do you think about the CL70 ears being the same as the CT70? I'm also wondering if the CT90 ears would be the same ?

Check ebay , I see those parts on there all the time . Cyclepartsnation.com has all the parts numbers & pics of the different models. Try & cross reference the two bikes .

the ct90 ears are different, the ct70 ones are about 10mm longer between the top and bottom clamps, i can take a pic of them side by side if you want. You can get a set on ebay US for bugger all, had a look last week and there were a couple sets that were straight and went for around the$20US mark, but none at the moment. If you are planning on getting a stock painted set chromed, buy 2 sets and get both sets chromed, that way you can recoup some of the costs by selling the spare pair.

with a ct70 and cl70 both in my garage, I can tell you that the bucket appears to be the same while the headlight ears are absolutely positively NOT the same. I even put cl70 fork ears on my k3 while they fit over the fork tubes they did not work out the ears are simply not long enough. besides the fork ears on a k3 have holes for turn signals while the cl70s turn signals do not mount on the ears, rather on the top of the forks.

Thanks guys, I would like to see a picture of the CT90 and CT70 ears side by side for comparison. Can the CT90 ones be used or not ?
