Handlebars for one piece top clamp?

    Hi all,

Does anyone know if the folding bars from the two piece clamps will fit into the one piece clamps from older CTs? I'm told the bars are different.

I want to run some aftermarket bars from a z50/monkey which again I'm told will fit into the two piece clamps but unsure about the older one piece.

    Thanks in advance.

one piece bmx bars will not work with the folding style top clamp.and visa versa.you have to have the matching clamps.they shouldnt be hard to find though...folding bars from a KO ''one piece''will fit the newer K1 ''two piece'' style clamps.

how about the other way around? will the new k1 bars fit into the k0 clamps directly?

i have to clarify, if you own a ko the k1 plate will not fit.just the bars interchange.if you have a ko,you can change out the whole fork assy to upgrade to real suspension.

I think (scary) the KO, HKO top plate is one piece, the K1 (not sure about HK1) is two piece. Also, the spread is different in K1 and later, I believe. The one piece top clamps have no holes for clamps for BMX, just fold downs. Hope this is correct and helps.

I just had my HK1 bar mounts off yesterday buffing and I can tell you a KO and K1 are not interchangable.

If your talking about the fold down handelbars I believe the bars interchange, just not the top plates. (The bars have the same bends) the early KO bars have welded on perches, some have threaded holes in the perches for mirrors, and the latter bars don't have perches or only the right side.

Thanks for clearing that up. Yes, the bars are interchangable between the K0-K2. The original bar bends and perch mounts are a little different but, they will fit correctly.
