Bikes That Aren't Worth A Look

This one I can't speak for but I'm sure he gets many smiles and waves... Though I did look at one that could be it 2 weeks ago. It just disappeared off CL Friday. It had 359 miles and was missing the A on the decal. The bars were severely bent inward and he did state he straightened the bars. Besides that it had many other hidden problems but I can't confirm this is the same one so with that said I'll just keep my mouth shut for now. In regard to the CEG for $2950 if the person is clueless about these bikes they will soon learn a valuable lesson. If they know on the other hand they will surely be in for a rude awaking when it arrives. :poop::poop:

This is not a bad bike, but I'm seeing alot red of red flags for a low mileage bike. Didn't look all that hard, but the new black speedo cable was obvious(I would have put the new inner in the old sleeve, just to keep it grey), incorrect tubes, long painted bolts in back rim, new plug guard w/incorrect bolts, swing arm looks like the slack adjusters have gone through a couple chains from going back and forth, and blah, blah, blah. I suspect the exhaust is new and the guards too, but bought seperately due to some of the JIS screws on the back guard look old.

Here's proof before the ad disappears and someone else here comes across this thing. Decent rider, but falsely advertised:47:

Good eye..... I imagine it should also have the points cover with the screws also.
I noticed that too, but I thought the cover looked like an original and that the bike might be a silvertag, since there is no pic of the tag and the year on the ad could be wrong. The head code doesn't have Diamond on it though. I don't know when they actually started putting the access covers on. The WAY this bike has been messed with, it could be off of an old z50.lol. I also noticed that the brake hubs look like they've been painted over and the front gators look new. Since there are so many scrapes on the forks and frame, I suspect the headlight bucket is a replacement and the headlight ring looks new too. The ad states that the carb was rebuilt. It still looks dirty to me, as there's even dirt still on the cap. I would've replaced the JIS screws and, at least, cleaned up the brass screws.
Is it just me, or did anyone notice that the underneath of the front fender looks like it has grey primer on it? I don't think I've ever seen that before.

The vin starts with 183xxx. Noticed the primer under the fenders also. If you think about it none of this stuff really matters. It's all about the smiles and waves he always gets.

The speedo cable was off for 3000 plus miles! Get a good look at the footpegs! That is the way to check for B.S.! The tits are GONE! NO WAY that mileage is correct!!!!!!!!!! :27: :44: :103:

I would agree there's around 3Kmiles on this bike. Wouldn't be surprised at all. I just checked and the bidding is over $1900 with 1 day left. Unbelievable. I bet there are people out there looking for this guy because of his dishonesty.

What do you think is up with the custom handle bar knobs?
Cool that you spotted that. Never seen any like that before.

I went and got a quick pic of the '71K0 I've been messing with and the length is very different.

Looks like he bent the right handlbar with a big pipewrench. Beautiful.

High bidder smiled and waved to ug and the green mess goodbye! The blue bike went for 2550? It may be back also.

I keep noticing that every time someone bids on one of his bikes someone with zero feedback comes over the top and out bids the previous person. This is a pattern on most of his auctions. None of these 0's ever seem to bid on other bikes.

Previous ad says sold for 2950, but at the same time it says seller has relisted the item or one like it. I hope he's having to pay the feebay fee's since it says sold. As of now, it's at 1800 plus with auto bid.

Ended at $2301 reserve not met. The true test is the 3 other CEG's on auction at the same time. Now he's got a Ruby red listed. Seems to be a bit more honest in this description. Probably had many emails about all the BS in his descriptions. I must say got to love the $49 Chinese exhaust and more of the signature spray paint on the fenders. Really makes the chrome pop! :24:

Went to look at this one about 4 months ago on CL. I was the first person to call once it was listed. Thought $2300 for a bike that had 359 at the time was a great deal and I wasted no time trying to scoop it up. After driving 2 hours I walked in the garage and knew it was a no go. Notice no straight on picture of the bars on the eBay ad. The bars are bent in at the top and angled out. I was so excited to go buy it I didn't even notice them in the original pictures until it was after the fact. The paint is what really fooled me in the CL ad because it had rust under the paint which does not show up in pictures. Bike had several leaks which were all easily fixable , and the typical exhaust leak. The bike does look like it cleaned up well but i was very suspicious based on how it looked at the time. To sum it up if this bike is so nice why was it listed 2 months originally and then again for the past week and 1/2. Their are many people in my area that would have scooped this up hours after it was posted if it truly was as nice as described. I have some pics I will post that I pulled off CL. You will notice that the what you can see on the license plate matches up with the title in the picture on eBay.

That same brick driveway is the one in the previous suspicious ads. Look at my post's #55 and #62

In my earlier post I said I wasn't sure if it was the same bike and stated the reasons in my original post. This one I'm 100% sure because these are the pictures I took off of CL back in September and they've been on my computer since. These are also the same pictures that were on there again the other week. The funny thing would be if someone called the number on the last picture of the eBay ad with the title. Thats the previous owner. I do know it finally sold on CL last week. I also forgot the previous owner sent me these when I asked about running the vin in the DMV system he also told me about the decal. Miracuously the missing A reappeared on the bike in the Ebay ad. It must have been hiding with the other mothballed parts in a box. Take a close look at the decal in my pic and the eBay pic. Its almost like the magic bullet! No one can explain it. Also look at the vin number in my pic. Im also trying to figure out how a bike that was mothballed for 45 years has a registration sticker from 1982 if you look at my post above.
