Aluminum swing arm, gas tank, shocks, headlight I had laying around so we'll see how it works, I've seen a few of you guys running these.
Triple tree drilled and mounted handle bars.

That 78 decal looks great on the black 78. But it looks just as good, or better, on your white bike. Who'dathunkit??! Nice work.

I really like the direction of this build!! What are your seat plans?

i think stock seat, the one I've seen on eBay with the red border around. i tried making a seat for my triumph and i wasn't too into it, the finishing just didn't look right so i don't even wanna try on this, i rather have a stock nice looking than something you could tell is home made.

That got me thinking what a 4speed black stripe would look like on white and with the black K0 side badges.
There is a thread here somewhere where someone painted their's white with bigger wheels.

This is a great looking bike. When I saw the white with different year decals I was like “Hey, he stole my idea!” My plans are very similar, but I’m loving your execution.
Hey thanks a lot, its done before, I saw one like this awhile back and I love it, ever since I knew I wanted to do a white one. Almost use 79 stickers since I own a 79 too but I think the 78 strippes gives it a go look.

Kinda makes you wonder why we never got a white CT70 model in North America...instead of seven years of red (with a name change). Those white-painted wheels, of the `90s models, would have looked good paired with a white frame. This bike has more visual appeal than the sought-after "Lady Dax/White Dax". Very effective use of color contrast.(y)

FWIW, I agree with you...that seat would be a really nice "grace note", one of those subtle details that doesn't call attention to itself but adds to the overall impression. It also fits the theme you've created, i.e. white background with those brightly-hued `78 tank stripes & red sidebadges.

In that same vein, thin red pinstripes on the rim shoulders (the outermost portion that sits above the bead seats) would really make the all-black wheel assemblies pop. (Just thinking out loud.)
