I upgraded to a bolt on sprocket and hub. It came with retention spacer things and I don’t know it I need them or not and if so do they go on the inside or outside? It won’t let me upload pics right now but I will keep trying.

Its the hub that uses bolts to mate sprocket to hub instead of the standard four post sprocket that goes into the rubber dampers. Retention spacers to center the chain or retention to keep the bolts from backing out?

I’m assume to keep the bolts from backing out? It’s like a u shaped washer that connects two of the holes together on the hub. Not chain tensioner

Unless you have a real powerful bike, that setup is not needed. Bad for the transmission. The cushions keep the transmission from being shock loaded.:(

Piranha 140cc I’m eventually gonna rebuild the 70 but for now I want a super street ct70.

Those go on top of the sprocket, and under the bolt heads. Then snug the bolts so the "flats"hopefully line up somewhat with the tabs. Then bend the tabs up with a screwdriver, againts the flats, so the tabs won't allow the bolts to spin...out.

Wow thanks Kirrbby that’s so simple and makes so much sense, I never would have thought of that. This is my first ct70 so I’ll have a bunch of questions thanks lil Honda for always helping.

Actually does anybody know where to get a swing arm bolt? I don’t think I have one. All the bolts seemed way to small to hold the swing arm without it bouncing around.

This is similar to the Z50 setup, only that one had had a 3-hole/triangular lockplate...to match the Z50s 3-hole sprocket mounting. That's why I asked what bike/model you have. Only need to bend one "ear" per bolt head. You should have a pair of these, for the 4-bolt setup. FWIW, I'm not a fan of rigid-mount wheel sprockets, either. Honda used rubber dampers on just about every machine over 49cc and for good reason.

Here's a source for an OER swingarm bolt. Unless you really know your way around fasteners, it's just easier to go with the Honda part, failsafe too.

Much rather just buy the Honda bolt. I assuming washer on each side and a locking nut?
