The story behind that '87 Monte is that my youngest needed something to drive at college in 1997 and I knew he liked Monte Carlo's. I found one locally and we drove it to the airport to pick him up when he was on a college break. I casually said to him, pointing at the Monte in the parking lot, "Hey that looks good, Rich. That would be nice to have." He told me to stop torturing him and I handed him the keys. His jaw dropped and he couldn't even drive it home. Wish I had recorded that.
Anyway the 305, tranny and stock rear are gone, replaced by a built 350, headers, built 700R4 tranny, 3.73 posi, Hotchkiss suspension, fiberglass hood and a repaint.
