So this is where I'm at...

My CT70 now has a new top-end.
I pull the clutch lever and the bike has ZERO resistance when trying to start.

I adjusted the clutch cable.

The bike now just shifts into gear but I'm not able to get the compression stroke feel I would expect when trying to use the kick starter.

I'm new to these, just trying to get this thing running ‍♂️‍♂️‍♂️

I appreciate all the help I can get.

It's important that you use the correct oil in these bikes. 4stroke motorcycle oil, is made to use with the wet clutch. If you use car oil...it's too slippery, and the clutch will slip, and slip when you're trying to kick start the engine.
If you use car oil it will ruin the clutch fiber discs.

Here is some good instruction for how to adjust the manual clutch in your bike.

I have honda oil.

I went through and tightened everything up... I heard some compression Loss when using my hand to "kick" it over.

So I need to double check spark... points and valves one more time. And I guess I'll try again tomorrow.

180 out on the cam gear is no biggie...should be ok to leave it...or change it.
180 out on the flywheel...points cam, and you won't even be able to set the points...and no way you could have spark.

Sounds like you are trying to start a bike that has been sitting for a long time with OLD clutch fiber discs, or the original clutch. Time to ''replace the discs'' and inspect the clutch plates.

You are going to need a ''clutch nut tool'' and a new clutch cover gasket. And a good time to clean all the ''crap'' out of the spinner under the 4 jis screws that are a pain to remove. Have new screws or buy the allen type to make next time easy.

Solid compression always demands a clutch that's fresh and or 100%! :) Can't have one or the other. You need both 100% to be reliable. Be sure to soak the discs in some of that new Honda oil. That's important.
