Post your Honda Z50 Pictures here.

It's a real nice one. Not really any work needed. Maybe straighten out the license plate area. The person (Dan, super nice person) I bought it from told me he babied it when he was little. He only road it on dirt trails, no rocks at all. He sent me the original registration card, and he has the manual, he knows somewhere, so he will send that when he finds it. Also comes with the original key chain from where he bought the bike. Really good provanace on the bike. I don't want to tell you all what I paid, you would be amazed.

Tell us!! I always like to be amazed...There are still really good deals out there.

I don't know how to just pull a sentence to quote...How do you do that?

You hit the quote button, then you need to physically go in there and delete all of what you don't want to quote, leaving in the braket phrase at the top and bottom of the phrase.

It was listed at $300., he got a bunch of calls on it, so he raised it to 800. I paid another 500 to get it here. So really, its not THAT great of a deal, but real hard to find nice originals, which is what I like to collect. I would have paid at least another 1,000 for it. It does need some minor touch up on the paint, but the tank and headlight bucket are perfect. The engine looks great, and no tears at all in the seat.

Excellent DG, excellent! Ever wish you would have kept that red HK1 and refurb'ed it? Oh, I believe I found the perfect painter to do the upcoming blossoming orange HK0! :D

Thanks for your help!

1972 Z50AK3, this bike was used for the summer of 1972 on a little vacation. It traveled around the midwest in a motorhome and patrolled the campgrounds. I have no idea why, but after the trip it was tucked away in a basement closet until 2008!

For comparison, check out the parts bike of the same model/ color that did not have such a boring life!

Second K1; lots of overspray.

Third K1, and far and away the cleanest of the bunch.

I'm thinkin I'll keep the oval badge K2, and the clean K1 to restore. Lookin like the last two K1's might have homes as is.. we'll see.

Started off as a $200 basket case. Someone had powdercoated the chassis black. Powdercoat was falling off. Swingarm bushings were burnt out from powdercoat. Seat pan completely collapsed. Engine came in pieces in a basket with a broken output shaft.

Redone this winter.
-stripped and painted chassis
-repaired and welded reinforcments into seat pan
-recovered seat
-rebuilt K1 model CT70 engine.
-fitted ported XR70 head
-thick base gasket and machined "old dome" piston to set head and valve clearances
-20mm knock off carb
-offshore Z50 clone exhaust (head pipe is a full 1/4" larger in diameter)
-rebuilt forks, brakes
-2" bar risers
-new chain and sprockets
-carlisle Xtrack snowblower tires
-simplified electrical wiring

I couldn't wait for the snow to melt. So I've studded the tires since these pictures were taken!

Here's my Z50 SN 660. It was on display at a local show in 2009. It always draws lookers.
