    If I am getting AC current (as measured with a multi meter) out of the black wire emerging from the stator, doesn't that mean that the points, condenser and the ignition coil on the stator are all working? I am getting 10 to 15 volts on the multi meter. Is this about right? Thanks for your help.

    Frame and engine serial numbers, do I have an original motor?
