    Engine stumper...thoughts?

I'm having a batch of valves made for other applications, and can add a set of 23/27x66x5's to the order if needed.

1988 DAX for sale in Mi.

Any time. I get less busy/stressed, in the Winter, so that'll be great. I'm not always speedy, but I'm always willing :) Glad to hear you like it! I think that was the right combo for the application. I'll let you ride one of my silly-sized ones. Amusing, briefly, but a PITA to live with. 18t...

1988 DAX for sale in Mi.

Bring it over, and I can address the shift shaft and case half. I have several. Prolly have all the sprocket retainer/low-head fasteners a guy could ever need, too. 18t c/s sprocket would get you close to the gearing you're looking for, for $10 Those extruded coolers are no where near as...

    XL70 head upgrade

TB and most bearing-type heads have the late-70 chamber. Use the Trail Bikes TBW0219 piston, in an 88 kit. Combo packages take a lot of the guesswork out. $350 gets you a new head with cam, sprocket, bore kit, carb kit, manifold.

1988 DAX for sale in Mi.

It's a truly handsome bike. Should be a lot of fun, too. Thanks again for letting me take part in the project. Getting to use the stock "toe-clutch" along with a hand version, would be cool, but a bit more work. I'd envisioned a couple setups, but nothing that was practical. I trimmed a...

    Is this for real?

The Spangler link is in violation of minimum-advertised price on Trail Bikes and Piranha products. Both distributors have strict policies about this (because of T-Bolt, mostly) about listing their products below MSRP. That makes it look like they are not an active retailer. The Piranha/YX...

"Big Honda" added to our collection

A flywheel weight make them a bit less unmanageable. I rode 82 and 83's when they were new. Watch out, chopping the throttle in any loose stuff. I got thrown off a few times. lol

25/22mm valves - Where can you buy them?

    Your link is for 5.5mm stem. If it's 5mm: *OEM_IN_VALVE CT70 K0_1969_to_1977 70CC_MODELS OLDER_THAN_1977 7/10A (2B)

    125cc Giovanni engine

Pull the top end and measure the bore, cylinder height and wristpin diameter. I'll bet you can get a jug & slug for cheap.

    Lifan ,Zongshen,Pirhanna ,GPX etc

Any of the bigger engines will move the exhaust farther forward, and likely exceed the flow ability of the stocker any way. 125/140 engines will require spacing the peg bar down with longer bolts and some spacers/washers.

    China VS Japanese Parts

The new CRF110F is made in China. Just like any where, there are variations in quality control.

Think its time for a rebuild?

It's tough to beat the Honda Trail Bikes kits, for bang/buck and product support (from a reputable dealer, any way...) 88-95-108-117 kits, and lots of mix & match options available.

    First time adding displacement.

Wed and Fri evenings are good for me. Boring the 72cc jug to 50-51 isn't too big a deal, but the painted TB one cools nice and about the same cost as a +4mm overbore. Early Z/CT heads have decent ports and valve sizes. A mild bowl-port compliments the extra cc's. Stock pipe will hold top end...

I've got tons of the stuff, new and used, and can get it working. You know where to find me :)
