Jim Huhta here. I have a 1974 CT70 Trail Bike I bought NEW in1974. Less than 8,00o miles on it.
I am new to this site, so......I just had the carburetor completely professionally overhauled and the bike runs great; goes up to 39 mph. Engine runs smooth with good acceleration, and idles smoothly.
The problem I have is getting it started! It just will not start with the kick starter. I have to put it in 3rd gear, run with it, and when it fires up (usually with less that a 15' run) I jump on. Now I am 78 years old, and one of these times I'm gonna skkreeew up and miss the ole' saddle. Not good.
I know there are many possibilities to the machine's failure to start, but can anyone help me nail down the most probable cause? I have some mechanical ability, but am unsure now.
Please Help! Thanx Jim Huhta jwhuhta@yahoo.com
