    Too much crap

Kirrbby, do you have an original muffler guard for a z50 k1/k2? Color doesn't matter just needs to be straight for restoration I'm doing. Also looking for a nice fork mounted reflector. Ones on eBay always seem to be junk. Thanks Rich

Not The Deal Of The Day!

In my research to learn more about the Z50 K1 battery boxes, I came across this completed auction. Can't see any reason why this would sell for so much.

    Z50 K1 battery box differences?

On page 55 in Jeremy's z50 guide, he writes of Type I and Type II battery boxes for the K1. Does anyone what the differences are as I look for a Type II battery box for my 11/69 build Z50 K1? Update: I read the text a little more carefully and see the Type I boxes used four mounting screws...

Source for the ignition switch boots for z50's

Thanks kirrbby for looking and the information. I'll keep an eye out for one on a cheap original switch.

Source for the ignition switch boots for z50's

Does anyone sell replacement rubber ignition switch boots for the early 70's z50's? Seems a shame to replace a good switch just because the boot is missing. The challenge I see even with the plastic connector housing removed from the wire connectors, it may be difficult getting the boot...

    My Early 1970 Honda Z50A K2

Recently picked up this Candy Ruby Red 1970 Z50A K2 from CL, frame number Z50A-279589, built 2/70, engine Z50AE-263761. Probably paid too much for it ($700) but wanted to get my hands on one. Got a copy of Jeremy Polson’s book and a Honda service guide to get familiar with these bikes. No...

    Correct Shape for a 1970 z50 K2 Brake Pedal

Thanks kirrbby for that reference picture. I suspected the arm should be straight where mine is bend. I'll wait for your confirmation but should be easy to fix with my arbor press.

    Correct Shape for a 1970 z50 K2 Brake Pedal

Been working on getting the brake pedal for my 1970 z50 k2 straightened back to it's original shape. Fairly sure the direction of the arm off the bushing is correct but not entirely sure. Is the bend in the middle of the arm correct or should it be straight? Thanks Rich
