Just picked up this bike. Frame has an h model number but the engine has no numbers. Wondering if the engine case was replaced at some point? Think this is a ct70h engine? Do the sell cases with no numbers?

I also have an ST90 with an engine that has no serial number. Probably used by the CIA for some long forgotten but strategically important mission. The bike and an agent, dropped behind enemy lines then had to escape across the border only to jump high barbed wire fences a la' Steve McQueen style.

That's the only plausible explanation that I can come up with but Darrel is more likely correct.

Darrel is right.

For my gold KO 1970 project currently on hold the left motorblock was cracked in several places so had to be replaced. I got one of ebay send to Racerx and it turned out to be without a VIN number. Since number match for CT is mostly uncomming this projekt has a fresh stamp with the frame VIN number 143xxx.
