How to repair damaged spark plug threads using a Time-Sert insert

I recently had to repair a spark plug hole that I stripped out on one of my CT90's and ended up using a Time-Sert threaded insert. While not the cheapest way to go, I think it is the best thread repair out there. I did a post at my CT90 blog where I share the process you follow to install a Time-Sert insert and I have included a link to that post below in case anyone else was thinking about using a Time-Sert and wanted to see what was involved.

Thanks,

Very nice write up! I have one head that has a Time-Sert insert. However, I did not do it myself.

I have used them for the foot peg holes, and they do work great.

Nice job. I think someone here just recently needed that job done, it would be good way to recoup some cash for that kit you bought. Oh yea, ''Gnarly plug hole'' in the tech section. AtLarge is the member. Reach out to him, if you want.

That clears up a lot. Nice work. I recently had a member here do that for my stripped head. I couldn’t tell anything was done to it when I got it back. Ditto the best way to have that repaired.
