I removed the bearings from the new front wheel today to get a more accurate measurement of the distance collar. This is what I measured. You can see that the OEM distance collar is 3.5 mm longer. I measured the inside of the hub from bearing surface shoulder to bearing surface shoulder and found it to be consistent with the OEM distance collar. The vendor is still insisting that I trust him.
Going by your red bike, these photos aren't doing you justice. They're nice photographs, just not showing enough detail to allow seeing the frame as it is, IRL.
As for the distance collar debacle, I'm sure the seller is a decent human being. He did get the merchandise to you quickly, as-described and has responded to your inquiries. He may truly believe what he's telling you. That said, with no offense intended toward anyone...I don't trust a wheel hub assembly with the wrong size distance collar. That's based on the most impartial judge I can think of, the laws of physics. Those inner races should have no side load, with the axle fully torqued. If this were mine, I'd either be at the lathe, or a machine shop, getting a distance collar of the proper length made...if the other collar isn't a direct fit, i.e. the correct length.

I could see that in the mock up pics. I was referring to the black where your knees go and the chrome as well. In the mock up pics the tank looks great, but the pinstriping really makes the bike more classy, grown up, fancy, etc.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting airblazer (Ryan). He was in the neighborhood and dropped by. Actually he's a corporate hot rod jet pilot out of Utah and wanted to see my bikes while here. As are other contributors to this site, I found him to be pleasant and enthusiastic about this hobby. Sorry for the cold blooded actions of the blue K0, Ryan. I should have let it warm up some more before your ride. Anytime you're in the area, feel free to come over.

Aw thanks for the compliment Bob! The pleasure was all mine. I think I brought the Utah chill to central Florida. The temperature dropped 40 degrees while I was there! I was just thrilled to sit and ride on one of your bikes. I’ll give you a shout the next time I’m in the area. The jet pays the bills, but you know what I’d rather be riding

I'm installing signals on this bike. I bought some aftermarket cheap stuff so I'm having to fabricate a couple of stalks to install the rear signals outboard on the fender. I didn't want them hugging the fender. I used 3/8" steel tubing and some 1/8" flat steel.
