Hello everyone,
My name is Tyler and this is my first post. I recent bought a 1974 CT70 K3 and have been reading through forums like a mad man the last couple weeks. What a great site with a lot of helpful information! This is my first CT so I will most likely be asking a lot of questions in the future. Im sure a lot of my questions will be questions that have been asked many times before (sorry in advance). I try to use keywords to find what I am looking for and many times that is very helpful but not always. Anyway, my bike came with a 12V battery in it. Im guessing the seller just threw in any battery that would fit, kind of confusing because I don't believe the bike has been converted to a 12V system. The bike has a battery box but I saw that early K models had protectors that went inside the box, mine did not come with one. From the parts diagram I found on cms it looks like the K3 model should have one. Just wondering if someone could please give me a definitive answer. If so, where would I go about finding one? I've looked on eBay with no luck and the product description on dratv say for models K to K2. I also look and it doesn't appear there are holes for rubber in the box. Thank you and have a nice day!
