Hi Kirrbby, New to this hobby and forums for the most part. Wasn't sure if the message I sent last night went through or if I did something wrong. Most likely I messed it up. Looking for a 70cc motor for my 78. Doesn't have to be numbers correct just a good rebuildable core. Thanks in advance, Pat

Hi Pat, and welcome to lilHonda!
I did get your PM, and I just had another look on a bigger screen...that is a fantastic lookin 78 roller! It looks like you're only missing a engine and a chain.
I do have a motor I could offer to sell to you, but maybe you'd rather offer me to buy that roller instead?? :)

You may already know, but the CT70 engines changed with the 75/ K4 model, to a 3up shift transmission. I only have one of those engines. I offered it to another member a while back, but it didn't pan out. Mine is from a 79. You can check the pics and info here...post #96

Ha ha...not gonna let go of the bike. I’ll take the motor. Work me up a deal for a stator cover and a airbox if you have those two items. Thanks a bunch!!! Kirby, I hope all is well. I've been away for a while, but recently acquired a z50k2 roller....well, almost a roller. I've got a frame, forks, wheels and various other items. I'm not sure what my plans are yet other than to have it actually roll and stop. I'm looking for the some items... a lower steering race, the one that seats on the front forks. The roller has a brake pedal and sleeve, but the mounting bolt and nut are not oem and could use those as well as the pedal return spring. Do you have any of the above you're willing to part with? Thanks.

Hi Z50nut. I should have that stuff. I'll have to figure out how to recognize the spring when I see it. I might have to stop by storage to measure one. I'll get back with you on those parts.

I’m looking for a flywheel cover, I have a 72 Z50. I’d take a CT70 cover or whatever you have that isn’t cracked or broken.

I'm hoping to round up parts for folks after work today. I'll see if I have a Softail cover to offer you.
Are you aware that they're available new? This might be the best option for you. My price for any GOOD original cover is going to be near the same price, or more than the new replacement part. So if originality isn't a issue, spankin new, is pretty hard to beat.

I might have some time over the next couple days. You need all the typical K2 Z50 stuff...minus the brake pedal.

I don't think I have a TL bracket.

Are you lookin for nice but expensive, or cheap and rusty??
Do you need the K2 emblem for the HL bucket too, or just the bucket?

Just a bucket only. I found a taillight bracket and fenders. You don’t by chance have a 1986 Z50RD Christmas bike frame also?

The only one I have has some damage...not sure exactly what kind of damage tho. I think there might be a tab/mount missing for the plastic side cover, and wear at the swingarm mount..? Want me to look?? It's hanging right in my garage. I could probably check it tonight.
