Wouldn't look bad with fresh paint... had friends over to party last night and they were amazed by the transformation to my home, they saw it earlier when they were cutting off the security bars, 10-4? It's coming along nicely, but I still have plenty of work ahead. The home looks ultramodern now with the rooms streamlined and whited out, LOL... later, some wall art will help tone down the brightness, and the white Kilz on the floor will go away when the new carpet goes in, that'll make a huge difference and really make the home look the way a home should. Had a good time getting lit with my friends, they really like my place because it has such a good view of the Dragoon Mountains & Cochise Stronghold. Can't blame 'em, the view is hard to beat in this part of Arizona. Y'all be good, I'm off to resupply and roll out more paint... not a task I particularly enjoy, but it has to be done, and rolling is way easier than all that tedious cutting in of corners & trim. Meh, I knew this transformation wouldn't happen overnight, and I'm still on schedule in a loose sort of way, LOL. :cautious:

Been busy knocking out the home rehab, place looks WAY BETTER already, LOL. Managed to swing through historic Tombstone a week ago, bit of a tourist trap nowadays but there are still some cool older buildings, and ya feel like you're in an old Western as ya walk down the dusty streets and boardwalks, 10-4? I took a few pics for youse heroes:

Here are a few more pics of Tombstone:

Next weekend, I'm heading to Tombstone with friends for "Wild West Days" & St. Patrick's Day, should be a good time... walk around town, see the parade, have a beer or two in a saloon, and check out the gunfighting action, LOL.

Hey CR, I'm near your neighborhood again. In Las Vegas to help my son move back to the Atlanta area for the second time. This is getting old and making real estate agents rich.

My son likes the eastern U.S. He doesn't care for the desert and job position he had. He's been out here twice.

Vegas is pretty nasty nowadays... just went through there a few weeks ago and it was Zombie Troll City. Haven't been to "The Big A" in a number of years, it has good neighborhoods & bad neighborhoods... I remember spending nights at the Petro on the west side of the loop back when I made a regular run from Dago to Atlanta, and that place was set up like Stalag 13, razor wire and all. You had to walk outside the perimeter fence to buy your beer at a nearby service station, and you were better off doing that during the day... otherwise you'd get robbed, LOL. Even in daylight, the trolls would angle for ya as soon as they saw ya, it was like the remake of "DAWN OF THE DEAD"---I used to range walk to the beer store, then range walk back to the safety of the truck stop as fast as my Infantry feet could carry me, 10-4???

Yeah, besides the landscape, my son didn't care for the clientel in Vegas. He's presently going to rent in Atlanta, but down the road he will buy something. He had a house in Newnan when he was there before from 2004 to 2017. Nice small city and that's where Alan Jackson is from.

Damn right... nothin' wrong with cornbread and chicken, LOL. Got a hankerin' for some yardbird today, gonna pick up a big ol' pack of chicken and cook it this afternoon or evening. I was gonna visit Tombstone yesterday for St. Patrick's Day, but the weather here in Benson was so perfect that I wound up applying elastomeric coating to the roof... one full coat anyway, the second will go on in a few days. Taking it easy this morning, my feet are tired after being on 'em for three weeks straight. Must be an old age thing, I used to be able to stand on my feet for months on end, LOL. Meh, I need to run errands and pick up supplies, so one day off won't make much difference. Actually, I might do some final cutting in with the paintbrush today, I'm just about done with those rooms which are gonna be carpeted... carpet crew comes to the house on Wednesday to measure the rooms, 10-4? It has been a bit of a rush job getting all those rooms done, but they're now looking good, and I even put that elastomeric coating on the roof, plus I stripped the deck down so I can start working on it this week. Today will be more restful, and the painting session will be shorter than usual... I foresee heaps of cold beer in my immediate future, LOL.

ALRIGHT, YOUSE MONKEYBIKING HEE-ROES & CRUSTY MINI DEMONS O' DIRT, Y'ALL HANG LOOSE AND STAY OUTTA TROUBLE!!!

OLD CT, YER STILL A KNUCKLEHAID!!! LOL...

Made it to Atlanta. Even got to see Cornbread and Chicken's home town (Newnan, GA) and had some pulled pork. We left Las Vegas at 9:45 am PDT Wednesday, made a sleepover in Albuquerque, NM and did a non-stop (except for gas) to Atlanta. Arrived at 4:00 am (EDT). We averaged about 65 mph pulling a U-Haul 4 X 8 trailer for a less than 30 hour drive (1954 miles).

We saw some overturned big rigs along the way, due to gusting winds. We mostly encountered 25 to 35 mph winds along the way. Some snow and then thunderstorms east of Memphis. All in all, we were lucky with the weather.

I flew back to Florida yesterday.
