I was missing the original harness, controls and lights on my CT. I sourced this one from the 1986 that I sold with the 140. To top things off it even came with a key.

Most of the switches were seized up and the "Hi/Lo" switch was broken off. Fortunately I had another complete left side control from another parts bike. Everything was disassembled, cleaned, lubed, painted and polished up.
The speedometer was working but sticking. I noticed that the mounting screws were bent inward and the input for the cable was at an angle. Given the headlight had a nice square dent at the top and the headlight bracket was twisted every which way, I guessed that it took an impact too.
After some searching on the site I decided to tackle it. Started with a small flat head screw driver to pry the bezel back then a paint can opener to gently work it the whole way around. I was able to pull it apart and see the clutch was crooked causing enough drag that the clock spring couldn't return the spring. I set it in a vise and gently pried it straight. Reassembled, painted and tested.
The final pic was something that came later during the install of the harness. I discovered that with led signal lights the original turn signal indicator would not work and the bulb was actually turning into a circuit causing all four lights to blink. After more searching and a trip to the auto parts store I sourced two diodes and set them up inline in a "Y" to the original left and right connectors. Both are wired in to one wire leading to the dash light while the other is grounded.
Now it works like it should.
