I had to buy this one! Couldn't be helped! 487 miles. The price was right too. The shipping price was a rip off but wtf. I know the reputation of the Rebel, its a beginner's bike but who cares.

I'm jealous, Adam. I seriously thought of pulling the pin on one of those a couple of years ago. Nice piece! Good luck.

Thanks Bob.
Sometimes Honda fever can strike when you least expect!
I saw this 2015 in candy red with 487 miles; you only live once:sneaky: better to make it fun. In August, I will turn 58. What a gift!

But guess what? They don't make the Honda Rebel 250 no more. This 2015 Rebel in candy Rubidium Red is kinda a popular color; really worried at first but for a lil less than $3k, real glad I pulled the trigger.(y)

A 36 mile bike? Wow. Maybe a newbie rider's bike perhaps didn't like riding motorcycles, that's strange. The other bike has some rust on he instrument panel, might be other spots too.

I was just in the garage and figured if I inverted the peg and rotated its bracket an inch or so, Brings the brake right next to the riding peg, that's my ideal riding position. Should be easy enough fix & to fab a 1 inch bracket, drill and mount. Makes the Brake pedal even with the peg.(y)

I found original dealer paperwork in the tool kit. The original 1st owner was named Lori! Its a good name for a bike.;)

So next I'm gonna instal the warning decals on the tank. I finally washed it Saturday morning and here she is.

36 miles and It's a 2014. I Still think some gal bought it and found out it aint no toy, probably just sat in her garage. Let me just say at 330 lbs this cmx250 ain't no moped!:D

One guy on YouTube called the Rebel a souped up Moped! LOL:sneaky: No Respect! :coffee:

But check this out:
If you want a new one, i think you can buy a brand new Honda Rebel in Vietnam and/or Thailand but it can only be a 175cc !

I get the feeling that the common citizen over there isn't allowed anything bigger than a 175cc. Their Government officials are allowed the big bikes it seems but average peeps over there never have big bikes, just an observation.

It may only be 175 cc's, but it must be able to carry the whole family and the entire contents of an average home at one time.

175ccs is not the limit in Thailand, There is a video of a female showing off her custom BMW1000R. You might want to watch it on youtube.

Maybe that's Honda's overseas Rebel limit . I only see 125cc & 175cc Rebel cmx bikes. Looks like my journalism sucks,(n) hope i don't get sued for Fake news!

Check it out, going into the garage in ten minute shifts, heat is kickin:devilish: but this may be an adjustment Honda anticipated. If you just flip the bracket & foot ped, it works that way too, a more comfy riding position and no modification needed! Works for me.

Looks WAY to far to the left of the peg, you have only a split second to ''find/hit'' the brake when someone cuts you off.
Good luck with that setup!

The foot peg position is what I Like, lot more comfy. :D Now have to get the pedal closer to the peg. My friend came and saw the bike, he's in the 160 club*. We agreed, best to shorten a used Rebel pedal from eBay. Its a long break pedal. Guess its supposed to make it easier for a newbie to push. I want it even and closer to the peg for a quick push.

* The 160 club are people who head to Vegas going down Spring Mountain highway.
160 mph on the 160! (highway 160). crazzy.

Those dudes have the bikes for it too. He has a Yamaha 1000 that he uses. He also has a huge Harley. Called an Iron horse? Its a beast, looks like your sitting on a locomotive.

I wont be joining the 160 clique/club.:rolleyes::D Would you???

I just pulled this one down from eBay. Its for the old Rebel 450. They have a shorter pedal, this should work better than the truth.(y)

Luckily the post office recognized my change of address and sent the new form here. Way cool, one less thing to worry about!(y)

Can't wait to get my Nevada Motorcycle Plate! Will visit dmv tomorrow get this sent through.:red70:

THat's just a joke...:D but Gonna try and get my 91' CT70 title here at this dmv. I heard that they have everything there and are happy to help newly local residents . I can also take my driver test and get my cycle rider licence. Gonna check it out and get this bike legal to ride, hopefully real dang soon.;)

I tried a couple of Rebel brake pedals; one is a 86 cmx450. That one was too short. The other a 85 cmx250 It was better but not great.

I ended up using the stock one! But adjusting the pedal down about five splines and then rotating the peg about 25 degrees. I probably should have tried that first before ordering:whistle:.... I can always resell the Rebel parts.

It feels perfect now! Am confident I could do a hard brake with this setup. Cool. Dmv here i come.:)

Blazing  triple digit Hot today! :devilish: Good day for early morning spray paint. Gonna instal crash bars but needed a U-clamp and got one yesterday for $1.69 at Home Depot.

100_0001.JPG 100_0014.JPG 100_0016.JPG

Btw, went to DMV yesterday, I need to drive the bike over there for vin inspection. So i'm getting it ready for the maiden voyage! I need to insure it and get a driver's Instruction permit form DMV-002

100_0018.JPG The footpeg Brake issue has been resolved. Emergency Braking, no problem.(y)

The bike feels very comfortable now. Should be a piece of cake to pass the driver test, gonna start Practicing to get my license, the dealer tag on the back is good till Sept.

A break in the Heat would be great but not likely at least for another week.o_O

You mean you need someone with a motorcycle license to ride it there. You don't have a license yet or permit? :confused:I applied for a permit and once I had it I HAD to be accompanied by a licensed M/C rider for practice at all times, until I passed the real road test. Times have changed... Or you are making you own rules.
