The Three Amigos... Sage, Dixie & Wingnut!!!

Took a paid day off to deal with a plumbing problem, had to drive to Tucson to rent a 100' x 5/8" drain-cleaning auger, 45 miles each way with road work & traffic (and I still gotta return the auger tomorrow morning before the football games). But this auger is BAD@$$, it totally DESTROYED the tree root clog in my sewer line, like sending a German Panzer Division against the Polish Cavalry, LOL. I rodded the line twice, first with a smaller root-clearing tip or bit on the snake, then I broke out the GNARLY CUTTER and cleared the line BIG-TIME... now my drains run like Ben Johnson on steroids, even with extra large laundry loads, LOL. Been doing laundry ever since, had a pretty good pile to knock out since the problem lasted awhile, aye? Been making like a truck driver, p!ssing in a jug and cr@pping in Walmart sacks for the duration... TMI for you sidewalk sissies? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Meh, you'll get over it, and I still luv ya, LOL. :ROFLMAO:

Ya know, I'd like to KEEP this auger, it's practically brand-new and it gets the job done... like "The Beast" of a Toro 5610 Fairway Mower we have on the course, that thing is a full-on "Sturm und Drang" Waffen SS Battalion in itself when it comes to cutting grass. I paid for DP or "Damage Protection" insurance on this auger, of course, since it probably cost at least $800, but the Home Depot did NOT offer theft insurance, otherwise the auger would be in my shed instead of back on the cargo carrier hitched to the Mighty Camry, LOL. Meh, I'll buy one just like it soon enough, just gotta save a little money... I had a 1/2" auger in the box sitting in my master bedroom closet, but I returned it to the Depot in Sierra Vista when I needed money (before the job offer came through). But after using this burly 5/8" auger, I'm not gonna waste any money on a cheesy 1/2" model, this 5/8" bad boy clears drains like nobody's business... no kinks in the cable, no knot-tying exercises with that same cable, no thrashing around like "THE ALIEN" as ya handle the damned thing, LOL.

NOSIREE, THIS 100' x 5/8" DRAIN-CLEANING AUGER IS THE REAL DEAL, A BEAUTIFUL MACHINE WHICH KNOCKS OUT TREE ROOT CLOGS LIKE THE HAMMER OF GOD, LOL... :cautious:

And we have those pesky tree roots here, even in the high desert... the mesquite bushes & trees out front in my parking strip are the most likely culprits, but I can't bring myself to cut 'em down, purely out of respect, LOL. It ain't easy for plants to grow in this poor high desert soil, and the mesquites look cool when they're in flower and all... who am I to destroy the livelihood of these tenacious plants? I almost feel a kindred bond with 'em, especially after going through that ridiculous public-fund-wastin' ordeal of being falsely charged back on the coast, pffffffffffft. I was dealing with nothing BUT dry & rocky soil then, CORRUPT FREAKIN' SOIL if the truth be told, but that's all over now and I'm back to regular everyday realities of life, here in southeastern Arizona where Nature does her best to let plants thrive in a harsh environment. One day, I'll put in a whole new sewer line, but it ain't in the cards right now, I'm just gonna buy an auger and clear the root clogs on a regular basis... who knows? I might be DEAD before the old line gives up the ghost, LOL. CHEERS!!!

ALRIGHT, WE GOTS SOME PICS FOR A FRIDAY NIGHT, SOME CAT SHOTS FOR OLD CT & A SHOT OF THE BAD BOY AUGER, LOL:

There's MuuMuu the Barn Kitty inspecting a cart: "C'MON, DUDE, LET'S TAKE A TEST DRIVE!!!"

And there's our Jet Heater, the thing burns multiple kinds of fuel and warms up the shop (and tools) on chilly mornings... believe me, those tools would be FREEZING otherwise, they ain't payin' me enough to handle frozen tools, LOL.

HERE'S THE WAFFEN SS AUGER, THING IS F#%NG BAD@$$, I'D LIKE TO KEEP IT BUT I'LL BUY ANOTHER LIKE IT, 10-4???

Gonna crash early tonight, LOL... man, those Margaritas were strong last night, but they tasted damned good. I mixed two packets of Emergen-C as a hangover killer this morning, so it wasn't too bad, but I only got three carts done. No worries, the boss never even made it in today, LOL, and any progress is good progress, so "FUHGEDDABOUTIT!!!"

Well , looks like we get a paid holiday on MLK Day after all, lol... gubmint, baby, gubmint!!! WTF, I'll take it, in fact I'll take every paid holiday they throw my way, before this job began I hadn't seen a paid holiday in YEARS (unless I was working on that day). So, a long weekend and short workweek ahead, plus additional quality time with the cats on James Earl Ray Day (as one inmate called it). :cautious:

Now the bad news, I've noticed this weird skin rash which seems to worsen after hot showers... I checked a sh!tload of web photos of various rashes with little red dots, but this rash doesn't involve any other signs or symptoms like pain, fever, swollen joints, etc., etc. I'm gonna post two pics I took after tonight's hot shower (I take two showers per day with this job), maybe you heroes can help identify this rash...

IMG_7144.JPG IMG_7145.JPG

First shot is of my leg, second shot is of my torso, the dots appear on either side of my torso but not the front or back... "HUH?" Is this some simple rash due to irritation, maybe the shampoo or lotion I've been using? I reckon I'll try some hydrocortisone ointment first, maybe look for some shampoo & lotion for sensitive skin? Have any of you ever dealt with this condition? I've never had anything like this before... o_O

I'm not including the freckles or moles in this query, I've had those for years and they've never given me any trouble... but these little red dots & weird red rash on my leg after exposure to hot water (and shampoo too, I suppose) are trippin' me out, aye? Maybe one of youse heroes has dealt with a similar condition... again, I feel no other adverse effects, no pain, no fever, no swelling, no itching, nada, just whatcha see here.

MEH, HASN'T KILLED ME YET, BUT MAYBE I SHOULD MAKE AN APPOINTMENT WITH A DOCTOR NOW THAT I HAVE FULL MEDICAL COVERAGE ON THIS GUBMINT JOB.

IT FIGURES THIS BULL$H!T WOULD CROP UP NOW THAT MY LIFE IS GOING WELL... JUST MY FRIGGIN' LUCK, PFFFFFT.

OH, WELL, IF I EVENTUALLY DIE FROM IT, I WON'T HAVE TO DEAL WITH ANY MORE SCUMBAG ESTABLISHMENT POLITICIANS, TAX COLLECTORS, SCAMMERS & HUSTLERS, ETC., A WIN-WIN SITUATION, LOL. :ROFLMAO:

Tap water did that to my son when he was young. We had moved and then had to get a water purifier. Did you take a shower somewhere else???

Also, changing laundry detergents or shampoo can do that to some people.

Looks like eczema... Don't buy the over the counter crap, go to the doc. They will prescribe Fluocinonide cream, most likely.

Hot showers flare it up, take as cold of a shower as possible. Dye free detergent is also recommended.

''Free and Clear'' is one detergent to use. Also buy good skin lotion. The doc will tell you a good brand.
Starts with a ''C'' Cetaphil? Don't hold me to that. It's pricey though...

That looks like a chemical allergic Reaction. What New chemical, cleaners or solvents have you been using for the first time? :whistle:Like a Virgin, touched for the very first time!:D:LOL:

I had a rash similar on my arm after getting it sprayed with rocket propellent.:cool: Avoid chemicals...

I looked closely at skin rash photos on multiple websites, and I don't believe this is eczema... plus it doesn't exhibit all the other classic signs & symptoms of eczema. I'll set up an appointment with a doctor when I get a chance, but I'm leaning toward some sort of allergic reaction, maybe a low-grade infection of some sort? Possibly from cleaning up that funky shop when I first arrived? I'm gonna try some cortisone first, just to see if it makes the rash go away. I don't feel any ill effects at all: no fever, no stiffness, no joint pain, no headache or dizziness, no fatigue, nothing, zip, zilch, nada, which is why I'm trippin' on the red dots... :cautious:

Ya know, I was stung by a bee awhile back and had an allergic reaction to that, with broad but painless red stripes down the underside of my arm, and I had NEVER been allergic to bee stings, even though I was probably stung fifty times in as many years. Perhaps my body is changing somehow with age, or I need to get myself screened for some obscure condition which produces results like these. I've always used El Cheapo Suave Shampoo, with a little Pantene Pro-V thrown in now and then... what if I've developed some sort of allergic reaction to the chemicals, same way I seemed to suddenly develop an allergy to bee stings?

I've also used the El Cheapo XTRA laundry detergent from WallyWorld for decades, relying on large volumes of water and laundry machine agitation to handle additional detergent, AYE? Me beloved mum used to use a detergent developed for sensitive skin... could it be that my family has some sort of reaction to certain chemicals over time & age, even if we used the cr@p for decades earlier with no ill effects? It's weird, because I actually feel BETTER than I have for awhile, since I'm now working a decent job and my situation is much more secure, relieving me of stress and whatever stress-related effects might appear. o_O

Arizona has a dry climate for much of the year, and the fact that I'm taking two showers practically every day may have something to do with this skin condition. But I don't care how early it is, I don't leave the house in the morning without taking a shower, I'm not the kinda slob that shows up to work stinking like a f#%ng bum... and given the nature of my job, dealing with a lot of dust, grease, etc., a second shower is almost mandatory, as I like sleeping in a nice clean bed. Meh, I'll figure it out, maybe a course of antibiotics is in the works for some cheesy low-grade infection... or maybe my body has somehow changed with age and no longer tolerates certain chemicals.

For decades, I used a really good skin lotion called "KISS MY FACE"---all my friends who dropped in at the ol' beach cottage called it "KISS MY @$$" (lol), but every last one of those sods would then take some of that lotion and use it. It was good stuff, but I can't get it here in this redneck burg, guess I should see about ordering some from Internet sources, if the product is still made. For that matter, and as an extreme small craft sailor, I used to buy Rachel Perry's Lip Lover, another great product which worked wonders for hardcore sailors. I should probably try to bag some more of that lip balm, it was the bomb... but I don't know if it's even made anymore, yeah?

And maybe I should look into laundry detergents for sensitive skin, in case my former rhinoceros hide has now become "sensitive"---the very thought makes me want to go bash some goddam libtards, LOL. Christ, this getting old bull$h!t really throws ya some curves... next thing ya know, I'll be registering as a Democrat and voting for gun control, BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Somehow, that line reminds me of a gal who made the local rag years ago by treating the corns on her feet with a 12-gauge... she was drunk at the time, of course, and she figured she could lay the shotgun barrel(s) alongside her feet and BLAST the corns off the map, LOL. Needless to say, the results were not what she expected... :ROFLMAO:

Wait, am I up to seven paragraphs yet? And 1100 words? I've lost count, BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! F#% it, I'm back to my partying after a long workweek, and YES, I already took a second shower and I'm now pounding some well-deserved cold beers. Look at the bright side... I won't have to visit an STD clinic, LOL. Well, hopefully not, I've already seen the inside of one of those in years past... and that time, the rash was on the h... er, never mind. TMI, even for youse Monkeybiking Hee-roes & Crusty Demons O' Dirt. Funny thing was, there were some HOT CHICKS in that clinic, and I don't mean staff. LOL. Puts a new spin on the ol' introductory line to your parents...

"WE MET DOWN AT THE STD CLINIC!!! AIN'T SHE SOMETHING???"

Yeah, I'm sure that would go over well... wouldn't matter in my case, since both my parents are deceased. Alright, guess I sign off now and watch "LONE SURVIVOR" one more time, I'm starting to feel like one with so many former friends already dead... sometimes, I feel like I'm aboard a life raft in the ocean. drifting solo while surrounded by skeletons. That sort of thing happened in the past, though I reckon I would've dumped the corpses overboard... or made friggin' TACOS out of 'em, BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! No salsa, guac or sour cream, more's the pity, just duck cloth tortillas and funky toejam cheese, LOL. Captain Bligh would be overjoyed, the cheap b@stard...

ALRIGHT, YOUSE HEROES & INTERNET MEDICOS, THANKS FOR ALL YER INPUT... SIDEWINDER AIN'T DEAD YET, LOL. HEY, BULLETPROOF RED69, YA THINK I CAN GET RID OF THESE RED SPOTS WITH A SANDER OR BENCH GRINDER??? :red70:

DAMN, THIS BEER TASTES GOOD... CHEERS, YOUSE KNUCKLEHAIDS!!!

Try the easy things like like perfume and dye free detergent, keep track of other things you are exposed to- chemicals at work, foods you eat all questions that the doctor will ask about when you go to see him - set up a visit with a dermatologist. They’re trained and experienced and will help you figure it out. Good luck

Will do, and I appreciate all the input, but today I'm not letting some minor condition rain on my parade... we gots BEE-YOO-TI-FUL WEATHER this weekend so I'm gonna ENJOY THE HECK OUT OF IT, LOL. I even slung my hammock for the weekend, might hafta dig up a file photo of the hammock so y'all can see how I'm livin', WOOHOO!!! Check these pics of quality time with the kittehs this morning, plus some other shots:
