Is that part special/unique to the silver tag. I have several parts with that number but I’m wondering if there is something different between yours and mine

As best I know, the only thing that is different, or special, is the zinc coating, rather than paint. The early CT's were zinc, then they painted all of them black. Must have been early in 1970 when they started painting them.

You could blast and zinc coat a black one. :LOL: Who could tell the difference? No need to search or wait for one on ebay. Chances are there are plenty of original rusty nuts and bolts etc lying around to warrant buying a zinc coating kit.

Found my stash of new ones - 5 black ones, 0 plated (now I’m looking for the box with the used ones....) Finding Stuff - Arrrgh
