1991 CT70 Handlebars

Well, the 8 yr old neighbor girl crashed out on my 91 ct70 and wadded the bars beyond repair. Looking at a few sites I'm not having much luck finding replacements. Can anybody here guide me as to where I would find similar bars? The headlight bucket was trashed as well and I'll probably go with CHP for that unless there is a better replacement.
Thanks Rich

You know how rare switch units are...for the K3-era models...and what kind prices they've commanded for years now. 1991-94 model parts are unobtainium compared to those later 1970s bikes.

Those `79-later handlebars look really stout but, they are shockingly fragile. That cross-brace is functional, not decorative.

If this assembly is in good condition throughout, it's probably worth close to the asking price. Consider what those parts would total if they were still available new.

I believe I've found bars that came off a 1980 that was a parts bike. If they aren't and don't work I'll be checking out the chromoly route. Thanks Fatcaaat. Kirrbby, appreciate the suggestions. Rich

If she's going to ride again you may want to consider going the BMX bar route anyway and storing the correct bars until crashes are less likely.

`79-later, with conventional risers/bar clamps, have spacing that's compatible with a lot of different handlebars. With lots of choices life is a lot easier.

I don't know of any that are direct replacements, short of finding good used, or nos. These are from a 80 bike, and they're bent. But they MIGHT be the correct part.

Look on the front-most part of the frame/steering neck. Look for a riveted Vin tag or stamped number. It may also be on the lower left side of the frame near the top engine mounting bolt...stamped into the frame.

The engine number should be stamped in a square box just behind the gearshift shaft on the left side of the engine.

What year is your bike?? Sometimes the Vin tag is in a different location.
