timing gear cover

On the head there is a round cam cover and the 10mm ''long bolt'' runs thru the head. So you remove it on the spark plug side. To access the other timing parts you have to remove the flywheel to get to the stator cover.

FYI, there's a highly probability that the round cover gasket has transformed into a tough adhesive. That long through-bolt is very handy, once loosened, for breaking the cover loose. Leave some threads engaged, to prevent thread damage, then press against the bolt head. It can take a fair amount of force to break the bond but once you've done that, it'll come right off.
