Ignition coil /condenser for st90

Need a coil/condenser for my 74 st 90 and wondering if anyone knew of one that would work. Lots of Chinese ones without the condenser on eBay/Amazon. My friend has one for a ct110 but my research tells me it won’t work. Any direction would be appreciated

Typically, the Amazon / EBay coils are the small Capacitive Discharge Ignition (CDI) devices for engines much newer than a 1972-75 Honda ST90 engine. Any coil for a CDI motor will not work for an ST90 and cannot be retrofitted.

Any CT90 coil and condensor should work. In fact, any 6 volt coil should work as well, as long as it has points and not CDI, even one off a CT70. Just need to male sure the sparkplug lead is long enough. Used ones aren't expensive, but the plug leads are often brittle. If you're shopping used, it doesn't even need to be off a Honda.

One simple message - a lot of the chinese stuff is JUNK !! By genuine Honda, even secondhand - its better made !! Dr ATV is a good place to start or https://www.davidsilverspares.com. I've used David Silver for a lot of my stuff :)
