Hey everyone. I was able to get a few things done today. Here’s my seat latch. And after installed.

Ok so I took the bike off the stand. I needed to install the engine guard and foot peg assembly. I’ll have to admit, this engine guard was rather difficult to install. But I got it. Seemed like all the holes weren’t lining up. I had to assemble everything real loose then tighten it up all at once.

And here is the foot peg assembly. Had to do some serious shimming to get it to fit. When I ordered it, the description said that it was the right assembly for large engines. But it kept hitting on the right side of the engine. I had to shim it about an inch down and cut off a small tab on the right foot peg holder. I’m not sure if this is right or not, but it on there. If anyone has had experience with this, chime in. Thanks

I have a stock length aluminum swingarm along with those same or at least very similar shocks. I didn't have to shim them nearly as much, but I did use 2 flat washers on the inboard side.
Two other things... are the top mounts loose on the frame stud? I had to use 10-12mm bushings to take up that slop.

And, did your swingarm come with any other hardware? The lower bolt on the left side may end up not clearing the sprocket, or at least the chain. Mine came with a special bolt for that side with a slim head. I'm running a 32t sprocket.
Hey man, I took your advice while I’m waiting on my rear hub assembly to come in. I went ahead and ground the head of this lower shock mount bolt down for clearance. I hope this is enough!!! Thanks

So I’m installing my brake pedal and lever and run into a little trouble.

My pedal is hitting this engine guard.

So I decided just to trim it up a little bit... not sure if I should have.

But it doesn’t hit anymore. I also put a half inch spacer behind the assembly.

Does anyone know a good fix for this. It seems that my right foot peg isn’t far enough away from the motor and kick pedal. Does anyone make about a 3” foot peg extender for this??? BTW... that’s my dog “Toby”. He really likes working on the CT70 too

No such animal as a peg extender. You will have to bring it to a metal fabricator to cut and weld a piece in.

You could always just fit only genuine honda parts (including the engine) throughout the build and have a trouble free experience cos everything would fit correctly. You'd have no stress, you wouldn't have to do any cutting, shimming or modding and you'd still have a cool bike......... sounds like a plan to me LOL  (y)

The triple clamps went on pretty easy...

And then the fork tube/shocks with headlight mount went on with no trouble.

You're gonna want to test fit your exhaust pretty quick. Make sure it works around all those parts that you have mounted so far. The exhaust can be a big hangup sometimes.

Doh...I see it's already there...
Oh ya...it IS gonna be loud...any muffle in that muffler?
