It's going to be a brand new OEM Honda taillight, who is going to look for a 71 on it? Any taillight from 1971 you buy used is going to be faded, cracked and scratched. A 40,000 thousand dollar muscle car, like a 1967 GTO, I would look for 67 on it. :p

i am after a nice original tail light from a 72 and i am interested in keeping original . i know its not a classic muscle car - its a very nice original 247 mile ct 70 and when i picked it up i was made aware the tail light was broken - moving it out of the house . So i am at the point of finishing cleaning this bike and ordered a tail light from Honda . the tail light on it is in excellent shape other than a piece missing , so i thought i would ask here if anyone has a lens . It does matter - i noticed when i removed the broken lens- its got a year marking and the next guy will be made aware as well . i need a good lens to finish it off - have you got one - i want one . thanks respectfully

I have a real nice one that says 71, just found one on ebay that has the ''71'' for $70 shipped on ebay. I paid close to that for this one. That's your best bet.

Okay - just a heads up - the tail light lens ordered from Honda arrived early sooo - opened up and the Honda piece is dated 71 as well and is exactly the same . So glad to see it - and thanks for all the direction from the members involved . I believe the 72 K1 was a one year only for these bikes and was smaller afterwards .so lucked out really - they are obviously still using same tooling and supplying . I understand this tail light was used on many Honda's of similar years in larger CC platforms . I grabbed a new rear fender as well - just to have since the fronts are discontinued - and they are noticeably different from Honda vs aftermarket .

What parts number did you give them or what part number did it have on it when you got your part? The reason I ask is when I go to my local Honda dealer the parts guys will look but ALWAYS tell me that’s discontinued. Even though I can come home and order the same part from Dratv, CHP, or Honda Nuts and it comes in a Honda package that is obviously a new part. It’s kinda aggravating when I know I can get the part new but they don’t want to cross reference or what ever they have to do to find the part number.

Rear tail light lens # 33702- 341-671
No gasket - no screws . You may be able to get all as assembly - not sure . Call your Honda guy - i only needed the lens . As far as screws originals show a single dimple/dot . I try and give these guys a bit of an order - air filters , plugs and such to keep their interest but 1 offs should be handled just as professional .
