10-4. I’ll remove the fairing tomorrow and shoot you a pic and see what you think..it’s just two bolts to remove....I have the H decals here but didn’t use because they say “trail 70” and it’s really no longer a trail bike or a 70 so I thought it might be weird to have them on there..?? The stock 3 speed decals just say Honda so I’ve been thinking about them? The Dax decals on the motor I clear coated over so I’m kinda stuck with them without doing a shit load of work... I got kinda bored restoring them all back stock so wanted to go way out of the box on this one..Like totally cafe style resto/mod...but thanks for looking and giving me your honest opinion..sometimes when I get a vision of something I look at it in a totally different way that not always a good thing!!! Lol. P.s. the yellow on the Dax looks brighter in the pics ..it’s real close the the summer yellow on the k-0 sl70s if you know that color..kinda a school bus yellow in person..

Bike looks tops! Good work Robert!
I actually really like the Dax sticker on the clutch/stator cover.
But I am with CJ on the fairing, my preference is without.

Pics with no fairing..for some reason the fairing looks bigger in pic’s than it looks in person..please comment on what looks better...I personally like the fairing to go with the cafe style look...

It looks kinda nekked to me without the fairing now.
I'm thinkin the gold all looks pretty good. The only thing that bothers me a little, is the back side of the mirrors...lookin from the front view. They look a little...much.

Yeah I’m kinda thinking the same.. it’s just hard to find mirrors that will fit in the notches of the fairing..I’m still looking. I have 5 different sets and configuration I bought that DONT fit or work....lol

I like it better without the fairing. Just, imo.
Bike is really sharp either way.
As for the mirrors, I think polished would look better, but I love the shape and design.

Anyways, been wondering what the top speed is on this thing and whats its best cruising speeds. I bet this bike rides and responds/handles like a dream.

I rode it for the 1st time today and it’s white knuckle scary fast..I just blasted it through my neighborhood so never got it even close to top speed but the acceleration is crazy for a short wheel base bike..also want to break motor in somewhat... the low handle bars are something I’m not use to so I think when I ride it more I’ll get use to it..its very tweaky like a two stroke dirt bike with a explosive power band...the Daytona manual suggests two different Keihin carbs. A pwk33 and a pe28..of course I went with the pwk33..but now I’m thinking the pe28 might be better for the street? .....
.....all my friends here local that see it in person say they like it better with the fairing?. Maybe they just don’t want to hurt my feelings!!! But to me in pics the fairing looks too big,,,, but in person it doesn’t..April 24th its going in the vintage bike show at the world golf village in St. Augustine, Florida ...entered in the cafe/special build class so I think I’ll enter it with the fairing on...Don’t have time for different mirrors or to remove the “ gold kit” at this point!!! Lol If it doesn’t rain here all day tomorrow I’m going to make a video of it running...that yoshimura pipe sounds bad ass if I have to say so myself...be watching out for video if not tomorrow the next day for sure.. thanks for your input ...I feel everyone on this form is into these old Honda’s so I really respect everyone’s opinion...I have thick skin an don’t get me feelings hurt to easy! Lol. So pipe in people .

How fast is at 190 engine? I’ve been wanting to do one for a long time in a 72 CT70 frame I have.
Like I said in the last post it’s scary fast going through the gears. Not sure about top end speed yet I’ve just been blasting it through my neighborhood breaking the motor in being it’s new out of the box...the stock ct70 motors are 4 1/2 hp..these motors they say are 18 to 20 hp depending on the carb and pipe and tune setup..I have the biggest carb they recommend keihin pwk33 jetted just like they say to do and the yoshimura pipe (700+$$) so I think it’s closer to the 20hp side..so think 4x the power of stock? The other carb option is a keihin PE28...I might buy one to try just to tone it down a bit? Jacob is running the nibbi 28 that looks just like the keihin28 that he said works really good..it’s raining cats an dogs here today so can’t do much with it today...

Maybe just try blacking out just the back of the mirror. Or part of it, leaving some gold...more of a accent. I would probably just put some tape on it and step back for a look...find what you like, then you'll know what to paint.

Maybe a couple stickers...decals, to break up the gold some.

Good thought...I’ll be thinking about that...

I've never ridden one. But I think it's safe to say that it's REALLY fast.
The easiest part of building a CT190...is gonna be the 190 part.

Pics of all my restorations heading to vintage bike show at the world golf village...green carbon fiber ct/Dax won an award of merit in cafe/ special build class.. they give two awards of merit and one class winner so my award is like second or third place...all other bikes in class were big Honda’s, triumph’s, BSA’s etc...bike got great attention by all including Wayne Corinne from “chasing my classic car” who was the grand marshal and told me he has a red ct70 k-0 with only 150 original miles..
