About to give up and sell my CT70's

I bought two CT70's in March and cannot get them running. I asked alot of questions on this forum and got alot of questions from more experienced owners. As suggested by many of you, I bought OHTOKC CDI ignition kits. As suggested by many of you, I replaced the coils, ignition, wiring harness, spark plug, etc. I checked all grounds, wiring, etc. I have electricity from the stator, I have a very weak spark at plug when I use a jumper from stator to the coil, I have no spark when everything is connected. When I place my test light into the spark plug wire hole and ground it to the motor, I get a strong light. I am about to sell these two and buy one running bike. There is another guy on this forum at the same place I am. Let me know if you think you can help.

Everything sounds right that you have and ordered ''parts wise'' and what I have asked about. It's very hard to pin down the situation over the computer. Maybe the problem will be in plain sight, once I see it in person. You are going to have to load the bike up and take a 95 mile drive for me to see this bike in person. PM sent Jeff.

So I sent a desperate message yesterday morning when I was about to give up on these CT70’s. The electrics drive me nuts! Old CT reached out and offered his expert help. I met him today and he analyzed my bike. Within 5 minutes he found the fix! The new CDI ignition had a wire misplaced. I HAVE A STRONG SPARK!!!!
A few other things will be fixed and I will be up and running. Although he opened his garage and his mind to me, the best part of the day was riding CT’s in his neighborhood. Thanks for the inspiration and expert help.

Bike runs and rides now. Put the tank back in tucked the short cdi conversion wire in the frame via dropping the engine and tucking it in between the frame/engine. The kits have too short of a wire setup, like a Z50. 7 inches is standard on a CT. Lucky to have 3 1/2 inches stator to plug with the cdi kit.:( Poured a little E free gas in, started it up tonight and rode it down the block. There is a lot to sort out with this bike, but that's the fun right?
