I like it .

My Sweet is scared to death of Motocycles but understands why I still ride and have so dang many of the things .

My ex wife never did and complained for 15 years that I loved the Motos, cars and trucks more than her .

I didn't think so but she may have been right ~ I don't miss her one bit and still love bikes .

Sometimes my Sweet comes up behind me and asks what I'm doing on the computer, I always say "looking at porn" ~ at first she'd get upset then realize I was looking at some old vehicle or machine........

I tell the truth ~ I don't want to look at women I'll never get to talk to much less diddle, I'm quite happy with her in that aspect .

There used to be what they now call a 'meme', this was long before computers, it listed the many reasons Motocycle are better than women because......

I only recall a very few .

When I wet down my 35 year old bike, it looks 18 again.
When on a dirtbike I don't need special permission to ride the back 40.
Your bike won't get jealous when you ride another bike.

When I wet down my 67 year old wife, she still looks 67.
When on a dirtbike, I don't need permission to ride the back 40, though I do need to stop and pee every couple of miles.
I believe my bike gets jealous when I ride another bike, so I guess I need to cut back on the medication a bit.

When your Motocycle gets too loose, you can tighten it up .

Your old Motocycle never calls at 0-Dark:30 drunk and crying .

I sold my one and only old Honda on Friday. I'm not worthy anymore

I have my eyes on a 93 xr200 that belongs to a buddy. It has an upgraded suspension, but one of the bolt holes that holds the cylinder down is stripped. I've repaired those before. I've seen it and it's in great shape. I might get it if the price is right.

I was passing Union Station in North down town Los Angeles today and saw $8.19 for diesel ! .

That same station was over $7 for all gasoline as well .

There's an Arco on Rose in Brea that has regular for $5.21. Even cheaper than Costco at $5.25. For So Cal, that's about as good as it gets right now. That works out to about 50 cents per mile in my Van, but only 3 cents per mile on the Monkey.

Yes I know, I already have a set on my Corvette. But they're expensive, the van ain't no show car, and it'll smoke the tires regardless of the rims.

Several of my GearHead friends have told me that COSTCO or SAMS CLUB gasoline is the cheapest they could find but I'm not willing to spend close to an hour waiting in line .

Yup, same here. Around here they're only about maybe .05 cheaper. Waiting in line or drive across town, or both to save 3 bucks or less? Nope. I go to a Chevron right nearby. In CA Chevron, Shell etc were always .25-.30 gal more than most of the other chicken shit or AM/PM stations. Up here they are usually only .03-.05 gal more.

Back in the 1960's many filling stations had "gas wars" where they'd set up a sandwich board sign displaying a price two or maybe three cents cheaper than the station across the street....

Now I find close to a dollar difference and it's still too dang high .

When I was training to be a licensed smog mechanic arco was always over 12 % alcohol, this in the mid 1980's when carbys were still in use .

To this day I avoid arco like the plague .

Hey Nate, I went to smog school too and got my smog license. It was back when Costco (then Price Club) did smog checks. Nowadays, all gas, regardless of the brand, comes out of the same pipe. Each brand will add its own additives( if any) before it reaches the station. Costco, on the other hand, has a separate tank at each station just for its additives. When the tanker truck comes to make a delivery, we manually pump in the additive based on a percentage of the fuel delivered. On a good day, we'd get 6 loads of 8000 gallons each just at our station. With 24 islands, we can sell 4000 gallons an hour with cars lined up to the street and around the block. Even then, it was still kinda boring working out there, and avoided it whenever possible.
