A new concept to use up all those old CT90 & 110's!!

I was browsing about last night and found a link to the Sachs Madass 50 and 125 scooters, apparently only available overseas for now. There is a striking resemblence to the frame layout of your basic CT90, which is readily available, and easily tagged for the street here.

I am thinking one could come up with some custom frame modifications, add some bling here and there, and do a one-off using this as a model.

Anyone ever seen one of these up close and personal?

The madass is a hunk of cheap crap. Seriously. Most of the vendors overseas who sell them quit selling them. I have two friends in belgium who own shops and after the first one came in, they didn't order any more!

How this coming along Dan?

I spent the day working on my ct110 complete ft end maint. stem bearings fork oil etc. I put 5 oz. of 29wt hydrolic oil in forks and it rides nicer then 5 other wts. and vol. I've tried.. I weigh 300#.
I'm slowly building my ct90 (no idea what year) am finding parts on e-bay and DRATV. I'm not making this origional but rather something comfortable and different looking. I have that trail70 I picked up for 5 bucks but at my size it is hard for me to get too excited about them. But who can turn down a low mile bike for a five? Parts are everywhere for Posties..I wish I knew how to get a ft disk to fit on the 17" wheel..or what other bike ft. end would just bolt up with a front disk. It stopps okay but a deer jumped in front of me tonight  and I could always use a tad more :D

I looked today to see if my Postie ft end would fit on the ct70 looks like it will but the tubes would be too close for the tire to fit in. Does anyone make triple tree to fit ct90 fork tubes to ct70? That spring front end will never hack it on these Pa. backroads.....

Whatever yer doing enjoy it..Life is too short:)

Dan...keep yer Postie under 90mph when you get it finished!

Still can't get over how hard these little buggers will work to get my lard butt around @ 45 and they're lovin it! Changed speedos today while I had it apart..so now I have a trip meter...3k since Memorial Day not bad for a 110cc. The new Chang Shin nobbies are worn smooth in back and ft is "jumping" need replacing so, My origional guess that the bike had 3k on it instead of the 900 showing seems about right. Tires don't wear out in 900 miles! .
Planning a long trip for next summer.
Dan..let me know what you need..I'll try to help. Lance

Ya crack me up MT!
I wear a helmet also..Had a tree fall in a storm right in front of me..slowed to about 3mph before t-bonein it with the 75 superglide. I plopped over the bars and hemlock in slo mo. Right on top of head!. God it hurt...I'm not getting any harder and blacktop isn't gittin any softer. That may have been fatal if not for the lid..Just plain stupid in my opinion to risk getting cracked open. Loved my 40 mph Postie ride at sunset. NEED BRAKES IN PA!! if it isn't the trees its the freakin suicidal deer. Who can help with info on disk brake for ct 110?
