aftermarket kill switch - CT70 with Lifan 125

Ok, yes, just a basic switch. The green wire needs to be grounded with the engine. The black/white wire connects to the black/white “kill” wire of the CDI. Engine should run when the thin button at top is pushed in. Pushing the larger square button at the bottom should “kill” engine.

aftermarket kill switch - CT70 with Lifan 125

If the kill switch has two wires, one wire goes to ground. The other wire typically connects to the black/white wire of the CDI. In the “on” position, the two kill switch wires should NOT have continuity. In the “off” position, the should have continuity. Switching the connection of the...

Gary, Did this info come directly from Honda….or another source? Way too many errors, in just the small section you posted, for me to believe that came from Honda. Mike

Joey4speed, Gary and I have differing opinions on whether or not Honda designated model years to these bikes, but here is my opinion: There are no model years associated with CT70’s until the 1976 model. The reason you aren’t finding info specific to a 1971 model is because there is no such...

    New owner CT-70 K0

No, the engine number and frame number rarely ever match. If they are within 300 or so of each other, they are original. Trail Buddy, Mikes MiniTrail and a few others have parts.

Kirrbby, for the past 15 years +/-, I’ve recorded every VIN and info on all CT70K0’s that I’ve run across….in person and online. I have data on thousands of K0’s. I first ran across the 12/71 bikes around 8-10 years ago. Unfortunately, these are not my bikes, just ones I’ve seen online.

'72 or '73? For the past year, I've been under the impression that my CT was a 73 K2 but I can not find the handlebar switches for this bike.

Gary, Question…..do you think your attached document came from American Honda headquarters or is it an Illinois form that Honda needed to fill out to ship bike to Illinois dealer? To me, it reads as a generic form from the state and Honda filled in the blanks. Just curious on your thoughts.

Yep, never give a CT70 prior to the 1976 model a “year” designation, always use the K model.

Honda st 90 engine swap help

No issues. I also used the stock ST90 footpegs, which are not a direct bolt-up to the Lifan engine. Between the engine slightly lowered and the pegs lowered a bit more, to make room for an adapter, I really like the riding position. My feet are lowered a couple of inches and my knees don’t...
