Question on air/fuel and idle screw positions and bike idling issues

I had an issue with my bike dying after going up hills or after riding around for awhile. After waiting about a minute was able to get going again no problem. I confirmed that the gas cap was in the on position in this situation. I double checked that I had enough fuel and didn't need to switch...

CT70HK1 Carb Constantly Drain Fuel From Overflow Line

Well, I'm a little embarrassed. I took the carb off this morning. I misplaced the float needle and never put it back in before reinstalling the float. Makes sense why it was pouring out gas. I ordered a replacement and next I'll remember to take my time. Thanks for the help lads!

CT70HK1 Carb Constantly Drain Fuel From Overflow Line

Hey everyone. I recently replaced a leaking float bowl gasket on my ct70. I took the bike out for a quick ride around the block this afternoon. I noticed that I had some choppy throttle and I was having some trouble idling. I looked down to find that overflow line was pouring out fuel. I had to...

    CT70HK1 Dies When Warm

It has both yes, the second line and the res position. I had my petcock set to reserve when I confirmed that it would run without a problem as per my last post.

    CT70HK1 Dies When Warm

I believe I found the issue. I feel a bit silly, but I was low on gas. I removed the gas cap and checked the tank. The fuel was sitting just below the upper fuel hose inlet. I switched the petcock over to reserve. It fired up and has been idling for 10 minutes without an issue. I'll fill her up...

    CT70HK1 Dies When Warm

I finally got some electrical issues sorted with my new CT70HK1. All lights and electronics were working so I took it out for a spin. Unfortunately, the neighborhood I live in is one giant hill and I discovered this issue at the bottom of the hill. I usually start the bike with the choke almost...

CT70H K1 Lights Not Working And Blowing Fuses

I attached the ground strap to the bulb socket this evening. I was about to give it a try when I dropped the bulb and it broke on the ground. A quick trip to Autozone for some 1154 bulbs and I was good to go. The running and brake light both work@ Although the added brake light seems to be the...

CT70H K1 Lights Not Working And Blowing Fuses

I was able to get the running light and the brake to work by fiddling with the light a bit and adjusting. My bike has the same issue yours did with the socket not making contact. How did you run the jumper directly to bulb socket? Was that something that soldered on?

I checked the diagram. I believe I have the ground strap correctly attached, but I'm still having the same issue. See the attached pictures.

CT70H K1 Lights Not Working And Blowing Fuses

Not sure what you mean by ground strap. I have a green ground wire that is attach to one of the two bolts on the outer plate of the brake light housing. The other end is attached to plate like housing that seats into a rubber mold on the taillight plate. No sure if this is stock or not. If I...

CT70H K1 Lights Not Working And Blowing Fuses

Okay guys, here's an update! I put a good bit of work in this afternoon. I replaced the wiring harness, headlight assembly, speedo bulbs, and high low beam switch. As recommended, I also installed a new Honda ignition switch. The headlight works, both high and low beam. Neutral and high beam...

Ct70H K1 front and and rear wheel torque specs

Anyone know the torque specs on the front and rear wheel assemblies and axle nuts? I can't find them in the manual. Looks like only engine bolt torque specs are listed.

CT70H K1 Lights Not Working And Blowing Fuses

I did get that switch off of Amazon. The only reason that I sprung for it was because a reviewer had mentioned that he had successfully used four of these. Why he needed four of them is beyond me. Maybe he's got a bike problem like the rest of us! I'll grab a OEM ignition switch to be safe. I...

The colored wires do not match up entirely, you are correct. I noticed that the blue wire from the new ignition switch lines up with the red and white wire connection from the harness when it is plugged in.
