    stock air box mod

I was wondering about just that, in fact. Are you going to try it?

Deal of the day, better act fast.

Does anybody on here have any experience with ceramic coating of these pipes? There seems to be much hype about this online. And from my powder coated.

    Quick question

I'm sure one of you guys on here can answer this: does the Honda CD50 share the same front fork as the CT70 K1? they sure look very similar on pictures, with the fancy chrome sleeve (cover) and all. Thanks http://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/jhAAAMXQTT9RpMyr/s-l640.jpg

Crappy Luck to Potluck CT70 Build

Hey CJ. As a newbie to this forum, I've been hesitant to post here, ... But I have a nice seat pan with usable foam. It certainly needs a cover though. I don't quite know how/where to check the list of stuff you still need for this build. This is off a K1 that happens to be CYS, btw. Let...

Anyone here buy these front forks?

Maybe the chrome sleeve would be correct, at least.

Thanks a lot for looking into these for me. I will PM you re. those sleeves. Is that what they are called?

    Random questions

Building a rider, not showbike. I have a nice starting point with a clean 100% original bike. Tearing it down and cleaning/polishing everything but not doing the paint (except wheels etc). Now I just discovered that these sleeves are impossible to find. And I'm not planning on getting them...

    Random questions

So that chrome sleeve that sits on top of the lower tube of the front forks, the one that is rusted on and seems impossible to remove to access the seal, the one that looks like you should just cut it off, turns out I shouldn't have cut them off. Apparently they are unique to that year, and I...

    Random questions

Here is a question for the random thread: When talking about "oil tuning" front forks, are folks on here using regular engine oil at the desired weight, or something that is actually "fork" oil? Thanks

    Part ID

Fantastic. Thanks a lot guys. There may be more of these queries over the next few days. And maybe even more when reassembly time comes around.

    Part ID

Hello all. I'm in the process of tearing down my CT70 for a restoration. I have bagged most parts, except this one: Can anybody tell me what this is, and where it goes? Thanks.

Can't get my tires off, any suggestions?

Wheel flat on the floor and a short piece of lumber (2x8") with one end on the floor and other end on the tire (but not the rim). Drive on that piece of wood with the front wheel of your car/truck. POP! Works very well. No effort. I do like the air chisel idea though. Will try for sure.

    Drive Chain question

Thanks for the input everybody. So... is the Maxima chain wax considered a 'paraffin' wax? The bottle reads "PARAFILM tm". Or are we talking actual paraffin to make candles and seal Masson jars? For those of you who use Maxima wax, do you just soak the chain and that's it (after cleaning)? I...

    Drive Chain question

Hello all. I can't find the answer to this in previous forums, and I've been very hesitant to ask the question as I can almost hear the eye-rolling this may generate. Here it goes; These beautiful shiny and clean golden chains that I see on the restored bikes, do they need to be lubed (like the...

Off The Grid New to me Z50

Hi racer. Can you elaborate on what you mean by "scuff", after polishing, and before clearcoat please. What product do you use for this? Thanks.

Off The Grid New to me Z50

So all you did was sand them? No clear over it after? Racerx, does the same apply to CT70 hubs? They look painted to me.
