Building a rider, not showbike. I have a nice starting point with a clean 100% original bike. Tearing it down and cleaning/polishing everything but not doing the paint (except wheels etc). Now I just discovered that these sleeves are impossible to find. And I'm not planning on getting them...

Here is a question for the random thread: When talking about "oil tuning" front forks, are folks on here using regular engine oil at the desired weight, or something that is actually "fork" oil? Thanks

Wheel flat on the floor and a short piece of lumber (2x8") with one end on the floor and other end on the tire (but not the rim). Drive on that piece of wood with the front wheel of your car/truck. POP! Works very well. No effort. I do like the air chisel idea though. Will try for sure.

So all you did was sand them? No clear over it after? Racerx, does the same apply to CT70 hubs? They look painted to me.
