    69 mini trail 50, lighting

Your new bulb has the correct wiring. The blue..."spade" like connector is actually a DOUBLE female connector...you can plug 2 male bullets into it. If you have the correct dimmer switch...just install everything by the book...same as stock.

New carburetor throttle cable too short?

Looking at this parts diagram... CT90K1, it looks to have a in-bar throttle..? Similar but different than the CT70? With the CT70 setup, it's possible to connect the cable wrong to the #14 throttle cable holder part. I'll try to find the pic...

New carburetor throttle cable too short?

First thing I would do is pull that rubber boot up and onto the cable...out of the way, so you can see where the cable hits the carb. Make sure it's properly seated INTO that adjuster. Then see if it's still revving high. You also need to be sure that the cable is connected correctly at the...

    I’m Back!!!

The one key you have looks homemade. The other key...low flush one...is NFG too. Swap in the good-er crank, buy a new key, and clean up or replace the flywheel.

    I’m Back!!!

Also...slide the flywheel onto the shaft, then spin it around slowly...feeling for the key to drop into the keyway and the flywheel should slide in Then LOOK, with a flashlight to SEE that the key is IN the keyway (groove). Then you're in...torque it...done.

    I’m Back!!!

The rounded edge of the key should go into the crank...with the flat edge sticking out. Tap it in with a plastic (soft) hammer or screwdriver handle. You could even tilt it slightly so the flywheel goes on easier. Also make sure there is no burr, or damage to the groove in the flywheel...make...

A couple bikes that are worth a look.

This bike looks like they started with little more than a frame. Then bought all new Chinese stuff to build a bike...and it looks pretty nice. I wonder how much it would cost to duplicate this bike, with my labor...everything except the paint work...

1977 XR75 piston and rings set

Maybe...you just need to adjust the valves..? Or...rebuild the head completely. I'd definitely look into the valves for a new to me, low compression engine. Might buy you some time...and, might get you riding TODAY.
