Let down by cheap petcock on CT70. What now?

I thought the same! the tank was full, so (this time) it wasn't a routing issue.

Let down by cheap petcock on CT70. What now?

Oddly, it appears that the Fuel filter may have been the issue. I took out the in-line fuel filter, and replaced the petcock after running a pipe cleaner through it. Bike has been running fine since then. Dunno what the heck the deal is. I tried two separate fuel filters of the same type...

Let down by cheap petcock on CT70. What now?

I had two of these fail on a CT70. One failed after an hour, and the other leaked the instant fuel hit it. What are y'all using that actually works?!

    Motor will not turn off

I had this issue, and it was a bad ground connection to the ignition. Check your grounds?

Gas cap broken into pieces under the seat?

Lucked out and found a NOS gas cap online. :) Good thing, too. In the week it took the Honda cap to get here, the other chinese plastic replacement cap had broken apart just from sitting in the garage in the bike!

All good here. I'll go searching for a good one. I know I have an OEM cap soooome where. I can't imagine this heat is doing any favors for cheap plastic these days.

Gas cap broken into pieces under the seat?

The strangest thing happened, I pulled my bike out to ride it after leaving it in the garage for a couple months, and I noticed the gas cap had broken apart. It was still on top of the gas tank, though. I took the seat off and checked to see if it was making contact with the gas cap, and I...

I loosened the pipe, disconnected the head, and put another gasket in there, then tightened it up nice and orderly. It's great! thanks!

Do I need exhaust collar half moons for exhaust install to 140?

I feel that the exhaust isn't mating very well with the head. I did not use the Honda half moon pieces ( part number 18233-051-000), but I did use the "o" gasket between the pipe and the head. Do I need to take this off, and use the exhaust collars to help this seat? Thanks!!!

WTB: CT 70 "BRACKET, IGNITION COIL" 50197-126-720

No, it's a 12v engine, but a 1980 frame. It just doesn't have that little bracket in it anymore. I can make something that works for $1 at the hardware store, just wanted to see if I could find the real deal. @Midnightpromises thanks for the offer, but that's a bit rich for me right now. :(

Folks, I have a 1908 CT70 that does not have this bracket in it. No one online seems to have one. Anyone know where to get one, or are y'all just making your own? https://www.cmsnl.com/honda-ct70-trail-70-1979-z-usa_model7456/brktignition-coil_50197126720/

Looking at the dual disc brake Mad Munk front end for a CT70 with 190 engine. Any experience with this front end?

I'm building a sidecar for the bike. Thinking about whether this will add any extra braking power for the additional weight. I have the part number for the hub that hooks up to the OEM CT split rims. Still asking if anyone has any experience with this?
