@OLD CT We almost got it popping, I'm trying to explain to my dad why we need to go back to honda points, but hes is a cheapskate and thinks if it has spark it will run.

@OLD CT I also noticed when kick starting, the kick starter would slip and not engage. LIke your able to kick it without any resistance. Is my clutch slipping? its a H model, where can I adjust it.

@OLD CT Also where is this stator you say is for sale? I thought Hitachi would not work on this because of the taper on the shaft.

I really don't think its the stator. I add fuel into the head. No carb attached. It wants to run but dies of starvation. I put the carb on, I doubt the fuel is getting to the head. Its a no go. I really think its the carb or a fuel issue.

Well I got the parts for the timing, put it in. Timing was on point. Before timing was down a tooth, no matter what it would not get right on the mark. Chain isnt loose like it was before. Hope this helps a bit

so if i used a ign assemblie from a crf70, I would need the crf70 crank? or will a stroker crank work on it?

I had contacted the seller of this cdi. told me to flip the ign coil then "should" work ok. Guess now is a waiting game on these parts. Hope I can get the engine going as I have plans to get this bike back on the streets

I will try a new key. As for that I also bought a new timing chain as everytime it did kick over. it jumped timing off so hope a new chain will fix that.

I been having a issue with my carb. I have the throttle open all the way. and it only acts like its idling. I release the throttle and it dies. only really starts with WOT. wont start when down all the way. I cleaned my carb once. Any help is useful to me thanks!
