    CT70H First Build, A Wreck

Yeah, poorly made aftermarket filter. The inlet of the Mikuni is 43mm and this filter was a stretch fit. After that it necks down to probable 25-30mm causing a huge restriction. New filter on the way.

    CT70H First Build, A Wreck

Little update here. I have 100 miles on the bike and ive learned a ton. 1. Nut and bolt check sooner than later. I found some loose ones including the front axel. 2. Chinese ebay look alike carbs suck in my experience. I jetted and messed with settings an unbelievable amount until i said screw...

Thanks guys. I really think its timing related. Im at like 17-18 thou at tdc but thats what it ends up at when i aim for opening at the F mark. Ill adjust and try again. And polish out the blueing. Yeah new chain, and good valve adjustment.

    CT70H First Build, A Wreck

2 feet of snow here in NJ. I added a headlight visor and i love it, my only modification and im sticking to that, i hope. My dads ‘73 sportster has one therefor ive always thought they were cool. Is the pipe abnormally blued? I thought so, so i went from a 58 jet to a 65 on the leanest needle...

    CT70H First Build, A Wreck

@Thumper1500 I did keep track. I dont recommend anyone start with a frame like mine unless you can do the bodywork and paint yourself, that drove my cost up a lot. Also throughout i found a lot of bent stuff which drove the cost up, along with labor but here it is... $1578 in parts. $310 for...

    CT70H First Build, A Wreck

This has been such a great project. Grinding through the little sub assemblies for months makes this part the best. Its so interesting what the camera/screen do to this candy paint. It looks completely different in person.

    CT70H First Build, A Wreck

Thanks for the help guys. I either have no issue At all or a bad condensor. I say that because i see a strong spark between the points. We will see when its all together.

That doesnt make sense to me but i will absolutely not touch it and try to start it once the bike is together. Thanks for the advice.

    CT70H First Build, A Wreck

The paint and body work are done and beyond my expectations. My friend took his time and did an awesome job, especially with the dents and body lines. The House of Kolors candy is amazing. Cant wait for decals tomorrow, after i tap and die all threads. Have an issue im sure others have ran...

    CT70H First Build, A Wreck

The build is moving along nicely. Ive been finding some intererting differences between the donor red 3 speed and the blue 4 speed wreck. Also have learned a few things -3 speeds axels have no holes for cotter pins and are “crimp” style nuts, not castles -4 speed air cleaner doest have a tab for...

    CT70H First Build, A Wreck

I saw from a previous forum post that Duplicolor BCP103 caliper paint was a good match and i happened to have some in my garage! Gave it a try before sandblasting to check the match and im really impressed. I can only speak to the paint match but i have high hopes since my G35 brake calipers...
