    1980 XL80 revival

I’ve completely forgotten about this thread. But to update you all, I managed to get it running. It took me forever to sort out a no spark condition. Turns out my battery wasn’t good enough. It now runs. And I’ve also acquired a nice xl185s to go with it. I’d post pics, but can’t figure out how.

    1980 XL80 revival

Quite a few months ago I set out to find a Honda mini to give to my father. He grew up riding z50s and ct70s. I found a xl80s in very nice condition minus the fuel tank and seat cover. I picked it up for $250 and a 8 hour round trip. I presented it to him for Christmas. He loves it. And will go...

    71 Z50 k2 questions

I'd be interested. The bike doesn't have to be perfect, I don't want it to be. It just needs to be presentable, but still not be so perfect to where it should not be ridden. Just a nice rider quality bike.

    71 Z50 k2 questions

I have some pedals from c200s, a cl77, and a few from some later 3 wheelers. I'm expertly trained in custom fabrication, so I can probably make one. As for the tank, post some pics, I'm interested.

    71 Z50 k2 questions

So I'm picking g up a 71 z50. I'm gonna put it together for my dad who had one as a kid. It's missing the fuel tank and rear brake pedal. Can't find a cheap k2 pedal or tank in good shape. Will the ones from a k3 fit? Attached is a picture of my 125 swapped atc 70, 85 250 and 95 400, just for fun

    ct70 engine wiring issues

Battery is in and charged. I have no working lights, but the horn has always worked and still does, plus a volt meter showed 6.3volts.

    ct70 engine wiring issues

Thank you for your advice, but im not sure if the suggestion of the points is the issue. it had extreme blue spark (it would jump and inch no problem). I tried to push start it, we pushed it for 3 blocks and nothing. i think the issues are behind the flywheel...sigh...

    ct70 engine wiring issues

about a month ago, i revived a 1980 CT70 that has been sitting since about 1985. It was running fine after i rebuilt the carb. After about 20 minutes the neutral light quit working, i think this was due to the bad battery (since replaced and it still doesnt work, it probably blew). the headlight...
