Trail 70 Webboard Official Bike Picture Thread

Amazing builds. I wish I could find an early 70s bike to bring to that kind of factory look. Here’s my 84 bike (I’m in Canada) before and after. 88cc stage two with Race head, HD clutch, HD oil pump, factory three speed semi auto. Titled for the road. Just a little low speed cruiser

    First EVER project

Trying these out now too, I like the retro look, and going back to closer to stock size should help my top speed issue without major gearing changes

    Luggage Rack (with factory signals)

Amazing. Thanks for that help. I don’t think the signals from my model will work tho.. they are one piece and won’t be able to cone apart to attach to the rack like that.. I’m on the fence if I want turn signals or a rack for a gas bottle.. Damn

2021 Trail 125 headed to US

I’m super pumped about this bike, but it’s not coming to Canada as of now and that disappointing. We didn’t get the monkey 125 either

    CT70 seats

My seat pan was all surface rust, sandblasted it.. powder coated it.. used the original 1984 foam and covered it with reproduction foam from phatmx for a 69-71 CT70. Worked like a charm, looks great and pretty comfortable.

    Luggage Rack (with factory signals)

I’ve looked, searched this forum, and noticed the 9 pages of results haha.. found one really nice bike with a black rack but didn’t see where it came from. anyone have any ideas of a rear luggage rack that will work for my 84? Would have the factory signals from the k4 bike.

    CT70 pictures

Beautiful examples. Mine is an 84 that never had the glamour of your 70s bikes, so I made it my own :)

    1984 CT70 Lighting issue

My speedometer gauge light doesn’t function at all, and the other two (signal and neutral) are on but dim. I feel pretty certain that’s a ground issue. I’ll tear that apart and size it up soon. ordered a new bulb for the speedometer to replace when that time comes

    1984 CT70 Lighting issue

So with some help from mountain mini I got a couple things sorted. signal lights still going solid, I ordered a new relay, should fix that. brake light was “on” the entire time. Turns out the spring had hooked into the brake retractor spring and stuck the light on. Fixed and adjusted that...

    1984 CT70 Lighting issue

Thanks! That’s what I used, I feel you are right about the grounds and the blinker relay. Unfortunately i wasn’t looking forward to taking it apart again haha. To answer your question, tail light turns on with the key, and I believe (I’ll check when it’s not 5 am and I’m out the door) that the...
