Step By Step for Spinner/Screen Cleaning on '74 K3 3speed

I feel your pain! At the moment, I have two laptops rotting in our office room for just the reasons you have mentioned. Went to Best Buy and snagged a new laptop on sale for $350 so mother can stay in touch with her *grands*. Came with Windows 8, she was diddling around hit the wrong button and...

    It Followed Me Home

It was ridden mostly on old mining roads in SE Oregon. Surprised that it faired so well and never left in the elements. Always cleaned as soon as they got home.

    It Followed Me Home

Wondered myself about the sprocket other than possibility that the PO did it so they could ride it in the mountains (and I do mean mountains). Also from wear marks in the area of the rear pegs and the seat itself that it appears that somebody had spent some rear seat time on it. Price? Under...

    Oscillating Power Tool

I just have the Ryobi for now as our shack in the mountains is off the grid. For what I do around the house, Ryobi has served me well. If I was using tools to make a living I would be looking for something else. Seems to me though, you can really tie up the $$ in blades to get done what needs to...

    It Followed Me Home

Update- Cleaned up pretty good. Couple of things driving me nuts. 1) Leave the trail sprocket, or replace? 2) Grey sheathing for electrical is toast, as is the black on the main harness out the front of the frame. Considering putting this one on the market so I can do the 69KO and the HKO up...

    VIN motorcycle web sites free?

I feel Adam's pain. I have three right now that I am going to have to load in the trailer and call the state and make appointment for VIN inspection. Just have to jump through their hoops and get it done and over with.

Fuses burn out intermittently ct70 KO

Pretty much what rx said. I would also check connectors to make sure a wire hasn't pulled loose. I fought my HKO for two days trying to figure out a shorting issue only to find out a wire had mostly broken away from the harness end of the lead in the square plug under the seat.

Step By Step for Spinner/Screen Cleaning on '74 K3 3speed

cj As a matter of fact I used your original post tonight as a reference/check-list on the 71 I just brought home. Been awhile since I did it so glad I found it!

    Chino ST125

Picked this one up at a fire sale (literally). Had been stored in a building that caught fire and was covered with dry extinguisher spray. Cleaned and scrubbed but, spent more hours carefully peeling the plastic wrap that had melted in places. Being a Chino, I did a complete PDI, replaced all...

    It Followed Me Home

UPDATE: What is a reasonable price?

Didn't look at the carb too close. The trail sprocket is needed out West if you ride them in the mountains (yes, we have mountains). Have been above 7500ft on mine and some of those old mining/logging roads are steep. I am sure if it was just a put-put bike in the city that it would have a road...

    Oldest CT70 rider out there

UPDATE: What is a reasonable price?

racerX requested better pics (worries me now) as he had some questions. Anyway here they are. Looks like a bar across handle bars, but is a mirror folded down.

    What is a reasonable offer?

As a matter of fact, I will be seeing him this weekend and will try to take some better photos.

    What is a reasonable offer?

Would most assuredly be kept in the family. We have one of their Z50s that my wife and her siblings learned on, also my dad's HKO that he would throw in the back of his truck when he went to check his traplines. Daughter and son-in-law own a small engine repair business, along with five kids...

    What is a reasonable offer?

Thanks. I have tried to get him to throw out a number for starters. Always says, "You work on them, so you should know what they are worth." I was going to start at 1k, but don't want to offend him? Why I wish he would just through out a number even if it was blue sky....

    What is a reasonable offer?

Father-in-law still has his 72 with 752 miles. I don't want to low-ball him, but don't want to over pay either.

    Where to Start?

Thx for the heads-up! Fixed the fork stop first thing due to tank dents. Only thing I have NOT addressed is the seat/cover/foam. Honda on back of seat original (white/silver/gold?) giving me some concern. Could post a pick if helpful... Don't want to do a hack job on original rider that has...

    Where to Start?

Z50 has original great cover/foam (good to very, good). Do I pull the foam/cover/seat to save for collector value, even though the third generation of family will be riding? Anything else I would want to put re-pop on to save for later value? Not ready to make a closet queen out of it yet...
