with much regret I pulled the carb of AGAIN late last night and cleaned All the jets and then cleaned them, then cleaned them again, and spent about 20 minutes being insainly precise with the float level adjustment. Threw it back togeather, Problum solved!!! I still have a bit of a hesitation...

Im starting to get somewhere with the carb settings on this bike. Its running better now after Another good carb cleaning and a float level adjustment. But now im getting a slight backfire when im coasting and im off the gas. Is this a lean condition? Should I raise my throttle needle up 2 spots?

Sorry guys, I must have miss lead you. My carb isn't leaking fuel...... My drain tube isnt leaking fuel......

Right, thanks for the info. Sorry, I forgot to say I just meticulously set the points gap. And cleaned the carb after a 5 day soak in carb cleaner! There is no fuel leaking from the drain.... Please re read my post regarding the clear hose attached to my drain. Thanks for your help!

My local honda dealer only stocks a 25/25 bulb. My 71 ct 70 came with a 15/15. can anybody tell me if its ok to run the 25/25 on my bike? I dont want to wreak a stator or melt wires exc!

My bike still has the original Nitto Tires. Are these things worth a dime, and I Should switch em out befor there gone? Or is it no biggy?
