    1968 trail 90 carb needed

Well, I got the thing running. It ran only slightly better than before I took the carb off. I ended up taking the needle clip from the middle groove to the top and it improved it greatly. So, the owner is going to sell this bike and I know he's gonna ask me what it' worth. I really don't know...

    1968 trail 90 carb needed

I looked into a PZ19 carb and the numbers dont work. You can the bolt spacing is different. So I'm not sure if I have the OEM carb. But, nonetheless, I'm going to try getting it cleaned up, and see how it goes.

    1968 trail 90 carb needed

Ok, thanks! I think that I'm gonna try to save this one. I had plans change for the weekend due to weather, so I'm gonna give it a try. If it doesn't work I'll have to try one of those.

    1968 trail 90 carb needed

This bike ran just like it sits, but, not very well. I took the carb off and this is what I found. I'm shocked that it ran at all. But I'm trying to find a replacement carb, but the ones I find that give dimensions, they don't match this one. And also it seems that the petcock and fuel line...

    1974 CT 90 no start.

I had a friend of mine that knows bikes split the cases probably 8-9 years ago. I didn't feel comfortable doing it at that time, but, I've done 1/2 dozen or so bike/atv motors since then. I had him check out everything inside. All checked out. However, as I mentioned I'm going to split the...

Are you talking about the rotary valve on my Kawasaki? How would you know it's worn? I don't have any pics of it, or even posted any pics of it.

Since I have so much experience now with the old style ignitions I'm gonna tackle this old bike that I've had for at least 12 years. LOL It's a 1974 Kawasaki MC1M 90cc rotary valve 2 stroke. I rebuilt the top end and painted the frame and cleaned everything. I got it back together and...

I replaced all that stuff not quite 2 years ago, so it's fairly new.

We had some rain here today. We got more coming sunday, monday and maybe mid-week with temps dropping to upper 70's to mid 80's, from about 97 today and 100+ the few days before. But, we have had a mild summer so far this year. We had 1 or 2 days in May that hit 90 then we didn't get any 90...

So, finally figured out the problem. That bare copper wire was broken under the solder. DOH! Resoldered everything gave it a shot of starting fluid, the gas tank is off, and it fired up for a couple seconds.

It looks like to me that on this diagram #2 is the points and the wire in question seems to attach to the screw that holds the condenser. That may be the problem, I hope so! https://www.partzilla.com/catalog/honda/motorcycle/1976/ct70-a-trail-70/left-crankcase-cover-alternator

I ohm tested the coil. Shouldn't I have some continuity between the spark plug wire and the mounting frame of the coil? I have zero ohms.

Neutral indicator wire? Hmmm. It connects to the points on the other end.

Thank you, that's good to know. Ya, the tag is silver. I don't remember how I determined a 69, but that's whats in my notes from the last time it was here. Last time I ordered a flywheel, stator rebuild kit, air filter, and a the flywheel cover, and maybe a few other things. I set the points gap...
