    1971 CT70K0 Finished (almost)

Well, finally after almost 6 months I've completed (almost) my first build. (I've got to put the badges on after state inspection). Bought it in October 2012. Sure it's your standard resto-mod that we've all seen here, but the difference is (for me anyhow) this on is MINE! I couldn't have done...

Wiring Piranha/YX 140 to CT 70 K0 Please Check My Homework

After a lot of looking, reading, trying this and that and failing, here's what I've gleaned from this Internet thing. Thanks to 1ez50 for the latest suggestion. This is what I'm trying next and would like comments as per likelihood of success. Please feel free to offer suggestions! I've been...

CT70 Does the engine need to be grounded to the frame?

My CT70 is freshly painted and I'm in the process of assembly. I'm not getting spark to the engine nor any tail/head lights. The brake light works but that's practically wired straight from the battery. I didn't scratch any of the paint off the frame where the engine bolts in, and I also have...

z50K2 looking for rear brake switch mounting bracket

CHP no longer has them in stock. I found two places but the price was $20 plus shipping. Perhaps someone has one they'll let go for cheaper than $20. I'm also looking for the rear brake pivot bolt. Same case, more dough than I want to spend right now. Anyone, anyone, Bueller? Thanks

Anyone refab a z50K2 brake stop switch ?

BRACKET. I forgot to put that in the heading I just picked up a z50K2 roller and am starting to get some needed parts. I thought I'd start with the rear foot brake. I think I've found everything but the brake stop light switch BRACKET. I haven't been lucky enough to find any within reason...

    Rear Brake Return Spring Z50K1

I'm further into my build and just realized that according to the shop parts manual the z50k1 needs this spring. It looks like it slides over the axle and hooks onto the brake arm. The problem is finding one. Part is obsolete. What are people doing to get around this spring? Thanks!

    What Piston to Order?

I'm tearing down my CT70 and figure I might as well replace the piston and rings, etc. I measured the piston below the rings and it measured 47.09. I can't figure out if the .25 increments in pistons means 47.25 or 47.025. This is the first engine I've torn down. The cylinder measured 47.08...

    Mounting Ct70 coil on Z50 K1

I'm putting together a Z50 hardtail and using a leftover ct70 engine. I'm wondering how to make the stock Ct70 coil fit the Z50. Anyone modify the CT70 coil? Where and how did you mount the coil on your Z50 K0 or K1? Pictures would be a plus. Thanks for helping.

    ct70K0 Fork Question

I just disassembled my K0 forks and it looks like both of fork slider pipes (lower tubes) are arced forward. Are they bent or supposed to be like that? I can tell that neither tube is perfectly straight. Thanks

    CT70 Engine Replacement

After searching this site for information on replacement engine help, I thought I'd share the photos provided to me when I replaced my original CT70 with a Zongshen 110 a few years back. It was much easier following the photos than trying to read instructions or delve into the alien writing of...

    1980 CT70 Fork Spring Question

I posted this over at Planetmini and thought I'd post it here as well. Greetings, I'm a heavy person and when I sit on my 1980 ct70 the forks compress at least 1.5 inches. I'm assuming I need stiffer fork springs but haven't a clue what springs might fit. I've tried searching the forum but...
